Crawford plans to move up at MW after Kavaliuskas fight !
I am very surprised. What do you think ? Will MW division be too much for him ?

I don't think Canelo can make 160 very easily anymore and 164 is as low as he can comfortably go...so maybe Terrance should say he is moving up to 164.

Top rank has that deep mw stable. Should be great fights for him.

Craw is too small for MW.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Probably to fight Murata in Tokyo.

I saw a video of Crawford saying this and his remarks seemed disingenuous and tongue-in-cheek.
Bob Arum also just told the media that Eddie Hearn is a disgrace (due to the Chavez Jr. situation) and claimed the Matchroom deserves to lose his boxing license for breaching the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act.
So if the Top Rank boss is doing his upmost to burn bridges with all his rivals, then who on earth can Crawford face at 160lbs?
Murata maybe, but no one credible.

The dude is 5'8" and not built very big. Can't see it. I hope you're right that he was tongue in cheek. Haven't seen the vid yet.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑11 Dec 2019, 21:31 I saw a video of Crawford saying this and his remarks seemed disingenuous and tongue-in-cheek.

Terence Crawford posted a picture of himself weighing 177lbs (before he made the jump to 147lbs) and we've also seen him rehydrate to an enormous 157lbs to dominate significantly smaller opposition in the 140lbs weight class (i.e. the Viktor Postol fight).oogiebe wrote: ↑11 Dec 2019, 21:33The dude is 5'8" and not built very big. So whilst I really doubt he’s being sincere, a very small part of me thinks he’d be willing to do a Khan or a Brook if he were to receive a huge payday to face GGG or Canelo.

His biggest fight would be Manny, but Manny didnt want it when they were both with Top Rank so I dunno if that can be made.

Pacquiao wanted a $20m guarantee to face Crawford, but Bob Arum wouldn't pay it.marvelous marv wrote: ↑12 Dec 2019, 12:49 His biggest fight would be Manny, but Manny didnt want it when they were both with Top Rank so I dunno if that can be made.
Shortly before joining the PBC, Pacquiao also had to file a lawsuit against Bob Arum, because the Top Rank boss hadn’t paid him broadcast fees.
By the way, Pacquiao received $20m from the PBC to face Thurman, with his NSAC guarantee being $10m.
Now that the Filipino hall-of-famer is with the PBC, he doesn’t really need Terence Crawford. In fact, nobody from Al Haymon's stable need to work with ESPN/Top Rank.
Re: Crawford plans to move up at MW after Kavaliuskas fight !
I would imagine he just wants a big money fight with Murata in Japan, and then he'll drop back down to 154. Hell maybe even return to 147.
It appears obvious that wherever he goes for the rest of his career, he's gonna fight the 8th or 9th best guy in the division because that's who Top Rank has, and we're just always gonna be left wanting to see him in real fights.
