Instead Butler will challenge Murata for the WBA reg belt in December.
Huh?
Why not?

He has turned down some chances offered him before hasn't he? Seems like he has.

If he wants the top guys to fight him, he needs to find a way to make some noise, and make people want to see him in the big fights. Winning dull decisions ain't getting it done.
None that I know of in the last 2-3 years. Saunders, GGG, or Canelo didn't want to fight him apparently. A risk vs reward thing? I think he should push hard for Charlo to get more credibility.
Sometimes boring sells, if you're good enough, like Floyd was. Andrade has a ways to go obviously. A 6'1" southpaw with great skills isn't a 1at choice for most.
Andrade's skill is overrated by some. He could barely pass by Vanes. Jacobs is better than him, and he fought GGG, Canelo and Derevo, while after 6 years, Vanes is still the best opponent Andrade has faced.

That one is for strict Brits.

Butler is fighting Murata now.

Vanes was a solid opponent then, 6-7 yrs ago, giving both Charlo and Lara very close fights, getting a draw with Lara. Andrade had a flash KD, but landed over 100 more punches. This isn't the same Vanes that came off a long layoff, moved up in weight to fight GGG. Andrade has beaten some other good fighters too, and just has to keep winning before getting a big fight. We'll have to wait to see what he is really made of. He won't fight Jacobs due to a close friendship, according to both. GGG and Canelo don't seem to want to fight him.

Am I the only person that recognises similarities between Demetrius Andrade and Terence Crawford?

Both men are extremely talented fighters with bags of unfulfilled potential, but both have also made huge mistakes with the management of their own carers?

No one cares about who Crawford or Andrade will face nowadays. And both men are responsible for this predicament.

There’s no reason for any of their big name rivals to face them, because their peers can earn decent (or even better) paydays elsewhere fighting easier foes.

I realise that what I’ve wrote may seem unkind, perhaps even a tad harsh, but I really can’t help feeling this way about these guys.

Difference between the 2.. Andrade is signed to DAZN, who have all the best MW’s bar Charlo and Murata..
