Danny Williams

Post by MasterG »

As I did not credit the author of the original post correctly which I thought I had done I've deleted the post.

Anyway. Danny fights tonight for the German International title.

Shall we find out the name of his opponent for ourselves?

According to Williams record he was down to fight on 30th Nov in Germany (against a 0 - 8 Cruiser 😬)

Did this take place?

Bloke in the blue shorts was the scheduled opponent a fortnight ago:

Looking at this (and the fact he's fighting again tonight) I think it's safe to say he won :o

Well, that's the first time I've heard Danny Williams speak in many years. The punches have badly affected him and he sounds seriously brain damaged.

I agree, he was never the most articulate but he sounds terrible in that clip ?

He also has an odd 'wide eyed/vacant' look that's worrying.

Very sad he's been reduced to this, what pride can any fighter take in beating him now?

Yes he was never a brilliant speaker but he could talk normally. The man speaking in that clip is a wreck. If you could go back in time and play 2004 Danny Williams the audio of 2019 Danny Williams he would be aghast.

This isn't the best quality (must have been filmed from the car park) but this is one of Danny's rare wins against the fearsome Pavel Siska (check his record)

Danny is clearly desperate for the stoppage but his balance, timing, accuracy is dreadful, says it all when he's struggling with this level of opposition.

You don't need to back as far as that Jim, here he in 2013 after his fight with Dominic Negus, world of difference in six years (and 21 fights)

It's f*cking tragic.

For me this has been the lowest point of his 'Latvian Career'

One of the worst heavyweights I've ever seen, slapping a former world title challenger round like that, looks like an EBF fight ..

This is how most of Kynkal's fights end (13 stoppage losses in 14 defeats)

And he's facing a debutant here !!

Just when you thought you’d seen it all! Danny does his ring walk in his normal clothes (with the fans all ready for a fight and the other kid in the ring gloved up) and announces he’s not fighting as he woke up sore! Scenes in Germany.

Thank God for that. He's in Michael Sprott territory now, where he can't make it out of the first round anymore. I'm sure he could have once learned a trade and made more money than he has been boxing on the continent. But now his brains have been whisked I'm not sure what he can do. It's all so depressing.

Yes mate, for what it's worth, Danny beat Mehmet Crnalic in about 60 seconds. Crnalic basically ran around the ring, then 'folded' as soon as Dan caught up with him :box: Haven't been able to find any footage
