Also I may have the 1997 fight program as my Little Brother Brandon Hughes fought and made the finals. He beat Jose Diaz I think that year to get there.

My name is Michael Gutierrez and Im from Phoenix, Arizona. In 1996 I became National Silver Gloves Champion in the 14/15 year olds, at 132 lbs. Defeating Ricardo Williams. If your website is putting up true facts, then you need to put my name as the 132 lbs .. .

I, Nalo Leal, won the 120lb 10-11 in 1997, beat Andrew Nelson from Minnesota.

That year Ricardo Williams beat my partner Dumont Welliver in the finals, believe was at 139 at the 14-15

1998
Dumont Welliver beat Angus Givens at 139 15-16

Ernesto Gonzalez won 12-13 @ 125 beating John Klobuchar

1999
Brandon Smith beat me, Nalo Leal, 139 12-13 in the finals

2000
Jonathan Urzua beat me at 139 14-15

I have the rankings pages from 98 & 99 which shows all the participants

And Ward's last loss was in September '98 to Ernesto Gonzalez at the Blue & Gold in Baldwin Park. Good fight, Ernie nearly jumped out of the ring when they announced him the winner!

I remember all these guys , I lost to a kid from Arizona in the 97 finals in Lenexa Kansas at the 105lb division.
I believe his name was Frank Gordon, so that placed me as a 2nd that year. Then I fought the following year at the regionals in Lincoln Nebraska, I fell short by a point in that one in 98. This is a cool link, btw my name is Nick Craycraft, I remember fighting in Joe Frazier's gym for my first silver gloves regional championship, I remember rock and tiger, Ricardo, Brodrick Harper, bear and all the amateurs from that generation.

Quick question Chaunster if you're still around...where did they find room for all the trophies at your place for you and your bros growing up?

Does anyone have results of any of the years from 1990 till like 2007? I myself fought in it 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007. And I remember most of what happened then I feel. But obviously I really wanted to see about from like 1990 till 2001. Even if someone just has the list of the rankings that would come out every year. I remember those, it was a paper front and back of the National Silver Gloves Rankings in all 3 age divisions. The 10-11, 12-13, and 14-15 all. Just the rankings alone would give us an idea of what happened. I remember seeing the list back in like 2000 and 2001 both. That’s been so long ago now though, no idea where that paper would be now. But if anyone else has them, please share. It would be appreciated. Thank you!!
