Map out DDD's 2020
What do you want to see for big bad Dan?
For example
Robert Helenius
then Demsey McKean
then Sergey Kuzmin
then Robert Alfonso

All of those fights should be well buried on an undercard, mate. I don't want to see any of them. What happened to him fighting Joe Joyce?margaret thatcher wrote: ↑17 Dec 2019, 14:58 What do you want to see for big bad Dan?

That fight makes no sense for Joyce IMO
Re: Map out DDD's 2020
Hughie Fury early 2020 (won't happen)
Dominic Breazeale or Charles Martin, Spring Summer

Duhaupas
Joyce
Hammer
Helenius
Takam
Atleast 3 out of the 5 would be great.

Since Douhapas isn't scheduled yet officially, here it goes.
Charles Martin
Christian Hammer
Oscar Rivas
Joe Joyce (doubt it though)
???
I think he's ready.

Re: Map out DDD's 2020
I think it does. I think it'll be a good fight where both lads stock goes up. Joyce wants big names but so far has only scalped faded or washed up contenders: I like them both and I think they'd bring the best out in each other.
This is Fwank here, not Matchroom. He needs to make these sort of fights and does, as evidenced by the card the pair shared this year when Dubois fought Gorman. It's a no brainer that he eventually fights Joyce, just like Joshua eventually fights Usyk.
Joe won't get beaten up like Gorman and might even win.
Re: Map out DDD's 2020
I don't think Joyce will risk an "L" before getting a big money fight. Dubs can afford a loss at this stage of his career.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑17 Dec 2019, 17:58I think it does. Same!
Re: Map out DDD's 2020
Wach
Jennings
Demirezen
Wallin
Chisora

Wallin
Chisora
Re: Map out DDD's 2020
Really? I swear people are just throwing out names because they've just seen them fight. These guys are nobodies. Boxing fans are amongst the biggest masochists. Why do you want to see these fights? Even Wach is almost pointless at this stage, but he gave Whyte trouble I suppose.
Jennings and Chisora are the only two decent names there.
Re: Map out DDD's 2020
Wach because I'd like to see Dubois in with a durable fighter who will actually fight back unlike Kevin Johnson.
Demirezen is another durable fighter and can be high volume, the last high volume puncher Dubois fought (Richard Lartey) gave him quite a lot of problems. This fight also has the added bonus of allowing a comparison to Efe Ajagba who could not knock Demirezen out.
Otto Wallin is a tall southpaw so it would be interesting to see how Dubois handles that challenge.
All boxers I've mentioned offer a step up in quality compared to his 2019 opponents, without chucking him in at the deep end vs the top 20.

Re: Map out DDD's 2020
4 watchable wins where he’s only 80-90% in the betting and pick up a British or Commonwealth belt would be enough.
FWank doesn’t like to rush and there’s really no need to either. Just get experience against some very different styles, a southpaw, a puncher etc..
The puncher should be Pricey
and the rest don’t matter - 2021 he can be let off the leash !

Re: Map out DDD's 2020
I agree that the Wach fight would not excite me but I think it would be good fro Dubois.
Right now I think he loses to Joyce, Jennings and Rivas.
But by 2021 I think he's ready for them.

Price
Hammer
Chisora
And suddenly he is the number 4 boxer in UK HW.
I think hes ready for big step up. He won't get better if hes opposition does not improve.

Re: Map out DDD's 2020
I think people should stop mentioning David Price. He’s always getting KO’d and he’s a heavyweight. He should just invest whatever money he’s made wisely and retire now. He’s probably already brain damaged enough.

Re: Map out DDD's 2020
I think he will keep fighting tomato cans and in the same breath as they call out Joshua, Whyte and Chisora they will say ‘he’s young he’s still developing he’s still a baby.’
Re: Map out DDD's 2020
I agree, Duhaupas is durable and will actually throw more than two punches a round (unlike Johnson).
I quite like the idea of Dubois vs Hunter, but given the political situation and the fact that it is a dangerous fight for both men I can't see it happening unless it is for a vacant belt.

Warren wants him to be fighting AJ or Wilder by the end of next year, said he’d put him in with AJ tomorrow

On the other hand he is active boxer always looking for meaningful fights. DDD should beat him easily but it needs a certain strategy to avoid being splattered. I think it would be good learning fight for Dubois.
Call it preparation for Wilder
