He looked superb in Sun City vs Coetzee I thought.

Hate to be a downer, but if he's got the big P then he'll probably be done for soon.

Just looked it up. It's one of the most curable cancers. Of course how far it has gone plays a role. So we can hope for the best, but you're probably right.

Looked classy vs Tillis, Snipes, Evangelista, Young, Ledoux too etc. Fun war with Berbick despite breaking his hand. That dog's a$$ must have had bleached fur with all the sun it got!

 LOL! I just don't see it that way. LeDoux was done and was never anything better than a decent journeyman. Young was almost 230 lbs and on the down. Tillis I'll give you. Evangelista I can't. Snipes ran hot and cold. Losing 8-2 to Berbick isn't a feat. Let's face it. Page was a bit of an enigma and he can be debated all day.

He had great skill. But average power
Dokes was the one with average power. And thought he was better than what he was.
Both were wasted talent.

The partying of Leon Spinks, Michael Dokes, Gerry Cooney would make The Grateful Dead and the cast of Saturday Night Live blush.

Raoul Duke and his attorney would be asking the heavyweights for drug tips.

I had a feeling I was forgetting someone, and Pinklon was exactly who I was forgetting.

Yeah, Greg went to Sun City and handled his business. Michael went to Las Vegas and got his business handled for him. We all know he got Greg's title shot  :TU: .

My apologies for inadvertently turning a thread about an ill former champ into yet another one man page strokeathon. I'll try to be more responsible in the future.

It was, he said dokes had no power and I responded he hit at least as hard as the object of his obsession. On me, I know better.
