Josh Taylor Trouble
Josh Taylor Trouble
Got himself in to a bit of bother when out partying. Mouthing off at door staff etc... Also looks as if he was caught with charlie on him but had plea of not guilty accepted.... Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come from Taylor. An all too familiar story with fighters from up here! He's my favourite fighter so i'm hoping it's just a blip...

Re: Josh Taylor Trouble
Taylor comes across like a pr*ck there.
At the end of the day he can train all his life but a 17 stone doorman with minimal training would still give him a severe hiding on the street and he seems like the type of guy who would be bothered by that which seems to be the catalyst that made him start mouthing off. Small man syndrome I believe.
Similar to Prince Patel with Kugan Cassius acting like a hard man and challenging him to a fight on the street. Patel could only sit there and get mugged off. He can train all his life and still take a hiding from Kugan on the street.

Re: Josh Taylor Trouble
World boxing champion Josh Taylor racially abused a doorman after he was thrown out of an Edinburgh nightclub.
Taylor made comments to an Asian bouncer outside Shanghai, in George Street, in the early hours of Sunday.
Taylor, who currently holds the WBC and IBF world boxing titles, was at the club with a group of friends when he was asked to leave the premises following “a disturbance”.
While on the street the boxing hero, from Prestonpans, East Lothian, verbally abused the doorman.
Police were called by club staff and Taylor – nicknamed The Tartan Tornado – was arrested and charged.
The boxer was appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, where he pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
The charge was aggravated by prejudice relating to sexual orientation and the offence was also racially aggravated.
The 28-year-old fighter also had a not guilty plea to possessing a quantity of Class A drug cocaine at an Edinburgh police station accepted by the Crown during his brief court appearance.
Sheriff Nigel Ross noted Taylor was “ashamed and had apologised” and fined him a total of £350 for the foul-mouthed outburst.
The sheriff added: “I am sure you aware of your position as a role model and I am sure you will adjust your behaviour in the future after this.”
Taylor is the current unified light welterweight boxing champion and won the IBF world title by defeating Ivan Baranchyk in May this year.
He was also crowned WBC champion and the Ring magazine titles in October this year when he defeated American Regis Prograis at the O2 arena in London.
Taylor turned professional four years ago and as an amateur he took part in the 2012 Olympic Games before going to win the the light welterweight gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow.
Taylor is ranked the world’s best active light welterweight by the BoxRec organisation and the world’s second best by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board.
The Scot has a professional record of 16 wins out of 16 fights and has a knock out rate of 75%.

BBC will be glad they didn't shortlist him now fr SPOTY. Looks like the money and fame got to him like Ruiz Jr or he's naturally a prick.

I am assuming they are inferring it is an offesive term for a prorestant.
If it is that is a very dangerous president to set. Religion has enough over protection without it being classed as rasicm for saying something mildly offensive about.

I think your massively underestimating how much Of a handful Taylor would be in the street.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑18 Dec 2019, 11:26 Taylor comes across like a pr*ck there.

Isn't Orange to do with Catholics and Protestants?
I know that is more of a Glasgow thing, but it may also be in Edinburgh, perhaps the Hibs/Hearts rivalry?

Streets a different kettle of fish. Taylor just won a world title warring it out with a little 10 stone chap with quick hands. If a couple of big fat bastards get you in a headlock or something in the street then it's a different game entirely. Taylor should wind his neck in and get the most out his talents (in the ring) imo, instead of acting invincible while coked up out in the steets.
Re: Josh Taylor Trouble
He always seems like he's hiding his real true self when doing interviews etc but you always get the feeling he's a horrible arrogant wee pudendum , looks like he's shown his true colours here finally
Re: Josh Taylor Trouble
Also as someone mentioned further up the thread the orange looking kunt comments from Taylor could well be sectarian, he's posted and deleted comments about rangers fans on his Twitter in the past
Re: Josh Taylor Trouble
Tut tut, the geezer should know better. He has everything going for him.

Gotta say I think he’s comes across as a sound geezer in interviews, surprised people don’t like him really.

Taylor is 5'10 and weighing 11 stone probably. A lot of bouncers you'll see on doors are 6'4+ guys weighing well above 15 stone. This isn't the marques of queensbury. I've seen bouncers get involved in fights a few times and they usually don't hesitate to grab hold of an individual. I suspect this is part of their training. You can't really say they lack bottle as any time i've seen any need for physicality they usually don't need any invitation at all to get involved. A lot of them seem to thrive off it actually. They are within their right to use force to defend themselves if they feel their life is threatened as is any citizen in the country. If Taylor tried to have a pop at a bouncer while giving up 6+ inches of height and reach and by about 4-5+ stone on the street, im putting my money on the bouncer getting to grips with Taylor quickly and giving him a good hiding for his troubles. It sounds like Taylor is at a place in life where he is in need of a hiding to humble himself.

Dean Francis served time when he chinned somebody after a nights drinking. Judges tend to view boxer’s fists as weapons. Probably needs to grow up!

Re: Josh Taylor Trouble
This is such BS I don't know where to begin. I've lost count the amount of videos I've seen of a little dude cracking a big dude on the chin with a nice 1-2 and down goes the big guy. Often times, the big guy is a bouncer.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑18 Dec 2019, 11:26 At the end of the day he can train all his life but a 17 stone doorman with minimal training would still give him a severe hiding on the street
Here's a perfect example...

Look at the size difference. The smaller guy probably has at least some boxing training, too. Especially as it's from Kazakhstan, where boxing training is very normal for boys/young men to participate in.
To conclude: you're wrong.

There was a bouncer in Essex who had boxed and who got life for murder when he chinned a guy who died for that same reasonpolecateddy wrote: ↑18 Dec 2019, 14:23 Dean Francis served time when he chinned somebody after a nights drinking.
