Recent Visa Issues - HELP

Don't worry, it's boxing related..

Liborio Solis is the most recent, how now has his fight with Rigo postponed due to visa issues, which have now prevented him entering the US for this weekends fight.

I am not from the States, but I seem to see a trend here.. I have see a few of these stories recently where boxers, from below USA, are having VISA issues.

Has Trump introduced a new immigration policy or something to make it difficult to enter the US?


If so, he's bloody ruining the sport further.. No one likes last hour pull outs, and it's not really fair on the boxers who have been training.

It occasionally happens with individual from "high risk" countries or with criminal convictions but you would think their wealth and fame would override any risk in most circumstances.

That's why America should not be awarded hosting the World Cup or Olympics.

Ongoing tensions between the US and Venezuela caused the Visa paperwork issue.

The issue is apparently affecting other sports and the US embassy has been temporarily shutdown in that country.

America and several other countries have issued sanctions against Venezuela.

Venezuela is supposed to be in economic and political crisis, with 4m residents leaving the country during recent years.
