I found this 1963 article in the Miami News with the Headline "Knockout Artist Kayoed Here". Unable to open the article; maybe someone else can. This came up with a google search of Sonny Schlamp aka Ray "Sonny" Schlamp aka Ray "Dutch"Schlamp. This may solve the mystery as to why Schlamp stopped fighting...he lost.

The article is not about a fight Schlamp lost, it's about a scheduled bout being called off because of Schlamp's questionable opposition.
