Odds checker have theoretical odds up for Ruiz against Usyk with the Ukrainian a 1/3 favourite and Ruiz a 2/1 choice.
I would pick even the AJ II version of Ruiz to beat Usyk, probably by stoppage. Cotton fists just wouldn’t be able to keep Andy off him.

Ruiz should take a warm-up against someone on the level of Breazeale or Washington, then fight a top ten contender like Kownacki (also managed by Hayman).
An interesting fight would be Ruiz vs. Whyte, but they have different management so, while not impossible, it would be more complicated to make.
He should never again come to fight weighing over 250, the extra weight slowed him down against Joshua in the second fight. Perhaps he just doesn't have the self-discipline to manage his weight.

If Andy is 280+ again anybody with decent movement can keep Ruiz off him. Obese Andy needs an opponent that stays in front of him.Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑28 Dec 2019, 08:35 Odds checker have theoretical odds up for Ruiz against Usyk with the Ukrainian a 1/3 favourite and Ruiz a 2/1 choice.

Ruiz doesn't hit any harder than usyk and he certainly isn't going to outwork him. Hard to imagine Andy winning a Rd.Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑28 Dec 2019, 08:35 Odds checker have theoretical odds up for Ruiz against Usyk with the Ukrainian a 1/3 favourite and Ruiz a 2/1 choice.
