Minor gift decision. Pascal had a really poor 2nd half of the fight and was lucky to get the nod.

I thought Jack deserved it as I thought he took every round from the 6th onward, but hey, it is what it is. Very good fight. Both guys hurt each other a lot. Very dramatic moments.

Jack just can't catch a break if he's ever in a remotely close fight it seems.

At least he's always able to perform well enough that he keeps himself in the mix for another big opportunity.

I don't think Pascal has ever had a good 2nd half. Not in a big fight anyway.

Fight hasn’t started but Tank entering ring with a live rapper. 1-0 Gamboa.

Does Marcus Browne automatically get the winner of this fight?

Yeah. I can't tell you how many times I've seen that now, but I can definitely tell you how many times it's been cool.

Zero.

Rd 1 tank.

Tank very much the aggressor taking the front foot, putting a lot into his big left which landed a couple of times, dangerous punch, Gamboa however took them well and looks composed. Davis not wild.

Gamboa goes down midway through. He also seems to have injured his leg. I think he’s calling it in the corner now, he can’t walk apparently.

There’s some issue with Gamboa shoe or he’s injured. Tank is looking for the ko and landed some hard punches however hes also walked into a couple of Gamboa shots who fighting on the back foot. All tank so far.

Rd 4 is closer. Davis very much rely on a one hitter quitter. Loading up on his left but it’s landing infrequently. He’s not exactly soften Gamboa up more just wanting to land one punch at a time. Still a Davis shut out thus far.

Rd 5 big round for Tank, did damage. Raw power on display. Gamboa wobbly at times however seems to have weathered it and fires back and spurts, lot of energy expended by Davis.

Rd 6 Tank more patience approach and less output, however this is still more output than Gamboa. Tank stalking yet throwing one at a time. It’s a shutout, Gonbo lack of offence is disappointing.

How does one go about scoring any of the last 6 rounds for Pascal? It’s not possible he won any of those rounds. He might have lost the 6th also.

Awful decision. Awful.

I don't envision a Loma/Tank matchup in 2020.

Rd 7 is a Gambia rd. He lifts his output considerable, perhaps he’s reading my rbr? Tank stalking mostly however punches are far and few between,

6-1 rounds plus the kd

Davis’ camp assumed Gamboa would fall over inside 5 rounds. Might need to reassess things going forward at 135.

Seemed to have been a momentum change until 10 seconds to go Davis drops Gamboa...once again. Gamboa needs a stoppage. Davis with a lazy approach exploding in the last 30 or so however this is when the damage was done. Gamboa looking vulnerable.

Gamboa is showing more heart than he’s shown in years. He’s going to lose but he’s really emptying the bucket here.

Great effort for Gamboa to survive the round as he was getting wobbled for the first half. Tank on the other hand breathing heavy. He’s not throwing volume...and he’s at such a lightweight. He’s clearly got some conditioning issues/preparation issues. He’s unrefined however also dominating on the cards.

Davis steals the rd with some hard punches in the last moments. Midway through Davis gets caught very clean by Gamboa. Davis output is very troubling for future fights.

Broner 2.0

This should've been easier than this for Davis. He's definitely going to win, but this was not supposed to be this hard.

He's lost 2 rounds, and let a badly faded fighter who damn near wanted to quit due to shoe issues just keep hanging in there, and giving him trouble.

Gamboa damn near took the 11th, but Davis came alive, and stole it right at the very end with a big flurry.

Ok so we got a hug fest in rd 11. I’m going to give it Gamboa...not much in it, in terms of that round.
