Davis vs Pacquiao
Davis vs Pacquiao
More believable than you think. They're exactly the same height and fight night weight within a few lbs. Davis just went to 135 just like Pacquiao before DLH. Davis already has to struggle to make weight. PBC desperately want to make a star and has him fighting old big names to get there. They probably think Pacquiao is too past it and there for the taking. They know beating Pacquiao would take Davis out the stratosphere.

This is a silly thread. ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)
Re: Davis vs Pacquiao
How? Davis is a PBC fighter. So is Many. Davis is not going to face Lomachenko or Haney because they're high risk. He obviously doesn't like making weight and will probably follow Broner's example of going up. Manny is 41. They're exactly the same size. They might think he's for the taking.
Re: Davis vs Pacquiao
Thought there would've been a chance of Pac v Mikey Garcia this year.
Re: Davis vs Pacquiao
This is an easy win for Davis. What's the point in this fight?

Far from an easy fight for Tank. I'd watch it.

If you think this is good fight why not ask for Thurman-Davis. I don't understand why Pacquaio is worth a fight and Thurman how about asking about Thurman-Davis. Same size means nothing.

Think the OP is thinking more in terms of exposure than just any 147lbs fighter.world ranked wrote: ↑03 Jan 2020, 12:35 If you think this is good fight why not ask for Thurman-Davis. If Davis was thrown in with Manny it would do big numbers, big exposure for Davis and if he won (which I think he would be favourite to do so) would propel him somewhat in the business.

I get it I still don't understand do we want to make stars who still have questions or legit elite fighters who earned it.Fightnight Scores wrote: ↑03 Jan 2020, 12:51Think the OP is thinking more in terms of exposure than just any 147lbs fighter.world ranked wrote: ↑03 Jan 2020, 12:35 If you think this is good fight why not ask for Thurman-Davis. Collected more belts than real opponents. 3 weight champ only one real fight. Though I do thinks he's a talent.

Ahh got you. Could be a case of perfect timing though if this fight could ever get made and agreed. Would Manny want any piece of it?world ranked wrote: ↑03 Jan 2020, 12:53I get it I still don't understand do we want to make stars who still have questions or legit elite fighters who earned it.Fightnight Scores wrote: ↑03 Jan 2020, 12:51

Seems that Davis really splits opinion. He's demolishing his way through opposition and divisions, yet people also suggest he's carefully managed and avoiding fights.
I don't think it's all that ridiculous if he was afforded a shot at a big name in the next 6-12 months.

It's like asking, why not put Pacquiao in with Kermit Cintron when he first considered moving up to fight DLH.

I think Wilder is a bigger star by far than Davis.

I think it is to get a Pacquaio fight when his best win Jose Pedraza and people trying to sell him a division champ. He should get a big fight I do think that though.Fightnight Scores wrote: ↑03 Jan 2020, 13:07Ahh got you. Could be a case of perfect timing though if this fight could ever get made and agreed. Who did Jessie Vargas beat to get a Pacquiao shot? Adrien Broner? Re: Davis vs Pacquiao
Davis would probably be too spry at this point for Pac, but I think Pac could give him a lot of hell. Davis still has enough get up and go, and pride in his being undefeated for the time that I think he'd put in just enough to get a close decision.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Pac beat him though.

That's what everyone said in 2007 when DLH Pacquiao was a possibility.
