Christ.....stop pointing to Mundine's fight against Green!!!
That tells me absolutely nothing!
You are all talking as if Mundine schooled a great fighter.
Basically,I don't think Mundine has even earned the right to step in the ring with Joe.Let alone give him a close fight.
This fight would end only one way....KO for Calzaghe. No doubt.

Australia Dollars.
Guess that wouldn't be too bad for Mundine to come here.
Outside he'd have to settle for less.
Tell me then why would he even contemplate going out of Australia to fight Joe in his own back yard for such a ridiculous amount, this is a fight that would sell anywhere. Also goes to show if 50 grand was the offer they don't want it.
Mundine is definetly getting better with every outing, his speed would always be an issue with Joe the slapper, when no one wanted a bar of echols Mundine a raw novice shown him up, and echols was at the time considered a more ferocious fighter than Lacy. Warren is not stupid he would'nt risk Joe in with Mundine. Joe would be for the first time ever up against someone faster than himself. Hence the stupid offer.
They want a name to beat make Green a good offer.

It would sell but Idoubt Mundine would make 3.5 million for it.
Mundine faster? Mundines starting to sound like a poor mans Roy Jones.
Natural size seems to affect him and if Kessler who isn't as good as Joe outboxes him, then Joe will do a better job.
Nah Green's just been beat.
Echol's was already beat by Hopkins though.
Slaps eh, well he does tend to hit with the side of his glove like one but you undestimate how hard they can be. He'll but any super middle out on their feet with them.

Mundine is as quick as Jones no doubt about it. He is quicker than Calzaghe but that dosn't mean he will beat him i would pick Joe by a close UD although i think Mundine would give him nightmares for the first half of the fight.Max Molyneux wrote:It would sell but Idoubt Mundine would make 3.5 million for it.

Calzaghe would probably get more money fighting Mundine over here than fighting him in England, Mundine will be garuanteed 2 mil minimum from now on here even against bums.Max Molyneux wrote:It would sell but Idoubt Mundine would make 3.5 million for it.

Well he'd be no doubt better than Lacy but Calzaghe would easily beat Kessler.Ben Keilty wrote:Mundine is as quick as Jones no doubt about it. Calzaghe-Kessler would be a 50-50 fight.
Mundine has no need to go and fight Calzaghe for $120,000 when he can make 10 times that fight a guy 1-10th the risk of Calzaghe at home. Mundine promotes his own fights, unlike Calzaghe. Calazghe may have belts- but Mundine is ‘The Man’.

Calzaghe is more than man than Mundine has ever been. Mundine was only a champ for less than a year and he wasn't even the proper WBA champ, Ottke was still the WBA champ properly. Why didn't he try to fight Ottke for the real WBA title?
Mundine hasn't had 18 defences and 9 years of championship level.
As for Kessler, he needs to still improve and would be quite an easy fight for Joe.

Your thoughts please Pundit.
Calzaghe would of course be the favorite, but Mundine has a chance. Stylewise his slick counterpunching is unpleasant for JC, who doesn't like to chase opponents around.
But I doubt JC will take it. Poor risk-return ratio.

Get over it mate - your like a broken record
Joe is injured - yes its too often I agree but you talk like Joe does not 'want; to fight
Utter shit - anyone who takes it to a puncher like Lacy is not scared
If Joe beats Kessler or Johnson or Tarver or Winky or Taylor or more than one of these what excuse will you use then
I'm getting the word .....................................

Joe wants to fight the fighters Warren puts in front of him, and Warren puts only fighters in front of him were he deems the risk-return ratio is right.Wrists wrote:Pundit

Max is right, I'd give J-C tons of credit if he fought Kessler. Fighting Mundine would be a good start though.
Cheers, P

Calzaghe has nor proved he is no1 at 168; needs to fight and beat Kessler to do that.
There aint no one on Calzaghes record that Mundine would not beat.
Mundine fought Echols because at the time Calzaghe, Ottke and Mitchell didn’t want none of him.
But at the end of the day Mundine can fight tin cans and earn as much if not more than Calzaghe clears after he gives Warren his 40%.

I think on achievement that Joe is the No 1 champ. Kessler has only had two defences and is becoming more inactive than Joe through injuries! Would be good to fight Kessler but only because he holds a title.MkoG-r11 wrote:Calzaghe has nor proved he is no1 at 168; needs to fight and beat Kessler to do that.

Yeah, Mundine could make it decent with handspeed.nickd wrote:In my mind Calzaghe starts a clear favourite in this match, however Calzaghe has never fought anyone as fast and slick as Mundine before so it could be interesting. I'd still expect a Calzaghe win on points but he might have some problems along the way.
Plus he has the good win over Green.
Calzaghe is the fighter to beat at 168, Beyer would have to come in second and Kessler 3rd, regardless of who anyone thinks would win between the 3 that is the order on acheivment.Max Molyneux wrote:I think on achievement that Joe is the No 1 champ. I dunno, I'd put Kessler #2. he gave Lucas a beating, whom Beyer (some would say) got lucky againstBen Keilty wrote:Calzaghe is the fighter to beat at 168, Beyer would have to come in second and Kessler 3rd, regardless of who anyone thinks would win between the 3 that is the order on acheivment.Max Molyneux wrote:I think on achievement that Joe is the No 1 champ.
