I saw an average sized English man do a simple defensive kick used in Muay Thai to push your opponent off and he took the aggressor (doorman) clean off his feet. It was like a movie.

Legs are much more powerful than arms are if you know what your doing, check out some of Dillian Whytes kicks on you tube, would not want to be on the end of one.

The difference is that they are difficult to land, boxers are adept at slipping punches from 6 inches, you have all day to avoid kicks.

Liam Harrison does a mad lower leg kick with his right leg followed by a sharp left hook. He’s knocked loads out with it and it doesn’t travel far.
