"Jiménez drops down from heavyweight to controversially win WBC title at 168"

Alejandra Jiménez W10 Franchon Crews-Dezurn ... Mexico’s Alejandra “La Tigre” Jiménez defeated Franchon Crews Dezurn of the United States to win the WBC women's super middleweight belt at the Alamodome of San Antonio, Texas. After ten intense rounds of action, two judges saw Jiménez win by 97-93 and 98-92, while the third one saw the American as winner with a 96-93 card. [Crews-Dezurn posted a screen shot on social media showing she outlanded Jimenez, 197 punches to 152]. The hard-fought victory makes Jiménez a two-time world champion, as she previously held the heavyweight title of the WBC. The Mexican drastically changed her diet, underwent intense training and lost up to 168 pounds, looking for new opportunities and better purses for her career [She also appeared startingly masculine compared to her appearance as a heavyweight in 2016 with a very deep voice]. With this result, Alejandra Jiménez raised her record to 13-0-1, with 9 knockouts, while Crews Dezurn is now 6-2, with two knockouts.

Here’s a post-fight interview of Jiménez, who kind of reminds me of a young Mexican version of Robert Downey Jr.:

Here are pictures of her physical transformation:

Here’s the same lady being interviewed during 2016 (note the changes in her voice and appearance):

Thoughts? :-?

Apologies if my comments offend anyone, as they’re not intended to be politically-incorrect (in case the Mexican champion is a member of the LGBTTQQIAAP community), but the nature of Alejandra’s shockingly drastic physical transformation concerns me greatly!

There’s no mention on the BoxRec website of Alejandra Jiménez being enrolled in the WBC’s Clean Boxing Program. :o

She was fat (and butchy) before and lost a bunch of weight, that alone will make her look different obviously, including a more defined jawline and more defined muscles Of course she could also posssibly be on drugs like so many others

There’s actually a lot of media coverage about this woman.

Her physical transformation is alarming. The deep voice, the muscles, the apparent change in bone density affecting her facial structure, such as her jawline etc.

Those changes aren’t caused by going to Weight Watchers and lifting a few dumbbells.

Look at the videos, review other articles and photos... and perhaps you might realise the justification for the media coverage she’s received.

Looks like she got in shape, losing 70 pounds will do that. Hey , she could be using too, but those pics are nothing really that weight loss and a more serious pro level training and diet couldn't do. Voice seems the same to me, deep before and after , and the one video is right after a tough fight anyway

Butch, masculine fatty with lots of rolls got in shape and ain't fat no more, obviously she will look more cut and muscular when she has way less fat to cover it. Will make her face more defined too

Looks like she didn't have some totally sham, fake Andy Ruiz transformation, those got media coverage too

"I fought a man! – Ex-opponent claims female WBC champ was born male"

Former multi-time world title challenger Carlette Ewell has accused ex-foe and WBC champ Alejandra Jimemez of covering up the fact she was born male.

The shocking allegations were made following Jimenez recently taking Franchon Crews-Dezurn’s WBC super-middleweight crown.

Jimenez, who dropped down from a reign at HEAVYWEIGHT to battle Crews-Dezurn, is now being linked to a lucrative fight with Claressa Shields.

But since the victory, questions have been raised by a host of detractors, including Ewell.

Losing to Jimenez for the WBC top division crown in April 20187 via stoppage, Ewell is adamant something is up with the Jimenez backstory.

“I’ve been in Alejandra’s presence and fought her. She sounds like a MAN. She has features of a MAN,” stated Ewell.

“(We think) She could have had a sex change to a woman. If she did, it doesn’t appear that nothing can be done about her competing as a woman.”

Later, updating on her claims, Ewell posted extracts from a Wikipedia page that had been doctored to include unproven transition statements.

“Found what I was looking for. Yes, Alejandra was BORN a MAN and transitioned to a WOMAN.

“We were absolutely correct. You would know because you are ALL MAN. We both said, that I was fighting a MAN on 04.01.2017 for the WBC Heavyweight Championship.”

Ewell added a message to Crews-Dezurn, by saying: She more than likely didn’t have any Visa issues from the delay of when y’all were first to fight. Because she was born a MAN.

“Her hormones and body mass had to be calculated on how much to lose weight within a specified time within a year or longer to prevent health issues.

“Better know her team knows this. So does the WBC. Everyone is keeping hush-hush because it’s about the dollars and having Alejandra to fight Claressa,” Ewell concluded.

Here’s a post-fight interview of Jiménez from her most recent bout, who kind of reminds me of a deep-voiced young Mexican version of Robert Downey Jr.:

Lol but I thought the story was that she only just became all butch and manly when she lost weight and supposedly got this newly define jaw and much deeper voice.

You guys seen a dyke before? You should check some of these female boxers or fighters. Amanda Nunes for example, imagine her with a buzz cut.

That was a fun fight.
I had it 96-94 Jimenez. She's tough but has almost zero head movement. Shields will take target practice on her and Claressa has better technique than Dezurn.

Gonna have to see something from a credible source for that.
I've known a few women that were/are every bit as manly as Alejandra.
She dropped 70+ lbs off a 5' 11" frame, got some sun and a different hair style, of course she's going to look significantly different.

Franchon Crews-Dezurn reinstated as WBO super middleweight titleholder

Franchon Crews-Dezurn is once again a world titleholder.

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) has reinstated as the super middleweight title, the sanctioning body announced Tuesday afternoon.

Crews-Dezurn faced Alejandra Jimenez of Mexico on January 11 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, losing a close split-decision over 10 rounds. She would also lose the WBC title to Jimenez.

Two weeks later, it was announced Jimenez tested positive for a banned substance stanozolol, which the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) collected specimens for on January 10, the night before the fight.

The Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation overturned the outcome to a No Decision (ND) on February 10. The commission also suspended Jimenez three months, retroactive to January 11. The WBC also honored the suspension and stripped her of the title.

The WBO asked Jimenez, through promoter Pepe Gomez, on January 29 to provide any proof as to why the sanctioning body ’should not declare the WBO super middleweight title vacant.’ A 10-day deadline was given, which expired on February 7, with no response from Gomez or Jimenez.

The WBO did receive an email from Jimenez on March 2, where she asserted that VADA performed a urine and blood test on December 15, which turned out to be negative. Jimenez argued she was surprised of the positive test, pointing out she never consumed any illegal substances, but the WBO discarded Jimenez’s claims “as they are unsupported by reliable, certified, and relevant evidence as originally requested by this committee.”

“Ms. Jimenez was granted due process through an official ‘Show Cause’ notice letter whereby she was advised by her official promoter, of the underlying facts, possible violations, and applicable procedure to challenge why the WBO World Championship Committee should not vacate the WBO Female Super Middleweight Title in light of her actions,” the WBO stated in a release Tuesday.

“Ms. Jimenez failed to comply with this committee’s orders as per the ’Show Cause’ notices. In light of these events, WBO Female Super Middleweight Participant Ms. Franchon Crews-Dezurn, petitioner in the case, requested that as result of the local boxing commission nullifying the official bout result to a ‘No Decision’ (ND), Ms. Crews-Dezurn shall be reinstated as WBO Female Super Middleweight Champion accordingly.”

In accordance with their bylaws, the WBO will allow Jimenez (12-0-1 1 ND, 9 knockouts) of Mexico City 14 days from Tuesday to appeal the ruling. Jimenez once held the WBC Female heavyweight title.

Crews-Dezurn (6-1 1 ND, 2 KOs) resides in Baltimore, Maryland.

Well it looks I was right about Alejandra Jimenez, because of the following confirmed by the WBC today:

On January 24, 2020, the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association notified the WBC that the contents of an out-of-competition urine “A” sample container that VADA collected from Alejandra Jimenez on January 10, 2020, as part of the WBC Clean Boxing Program, yielded an adverse finding for Stanozolol. Stanozolol is a synthetic steroid and derivative of testosterone, which has anabolic and androgenic qualities. Stanozolol is included in VADA’s and the WBC’s Clean Boxing Program list of banned substances. On February 19, 2020, the contents of the “B” sample container confirmed the adverse finding.

It’s taken almost five months for the WBC to decide that Alejandra Jimenez should be suspended for failing a drug test administered by VADA for the Franchon Crews-Dezurn WBC & WBO world title fight that was held on the 11th January.

Coincidently, the WBO was able to suspend Alejandra Jimenez on the 20th March, which was 2½ months ago. And the WBC has been unable to explain the reason why it took so long to make their decision.

Unfortunately though, the WBC has decided to back-date their suspension, so it ends on the 21st October, which means she’ll be able to fight again in 4½ months’ time.

I feel this situation has been terrible! Jimenez’s alarming physical transformation was obviously a red flag the WBC chose to ignore, coupled with the manner in which the WBC handled her suspension!

definitely agree that the handling of the positive drug test, and subsequent reinstatement of Franchon Crews World Champion status should not have taken 5.5 months. using banned substances in a boxing match really needs to be taken more seriously. boxers are putting their lives on the line to get in the ring. it is up to the commissions and officials to protect boxers from being hurt through an unfair advantage. remember when margarito got caught with the illegal hand wraps? what was the difference there in how that was handled and why?

also a shoutout, Franchon is a stellar person and i am so happy to see her rightfully reinstated!
