Which champion will lose his belt (s) first in 2020 ?

Post by ValMar »

This is a (almost) copy of the thread for 2019. Davis has no title now, instead of him I put Taylor on the list.

I mean, I consider only loss in the ring, I don't count losing by any kind of administrative way.

So, what do you predict ?

Only primary titles, Canelo at MW, only.

Ok, now it's time for the best selling comedy stories of 2021.

I guess, Wilder will win this poll again. And this time he'll do it for reason, because his rematch against Fury is officially set for Feb 22.

My bad, I put Joshua as I assumed the poll included relinquishing titles

Davis has a title and I'd be shocked if canelo fought at middle again. Id say loma of the list.

Davis (LW) and Canelo (SMW) have secondary WBA titles only, as I know.

The Champs I expect to definitely lose their titles this year ain't on that list. So it's hard to say who if any on the list would lose their belts.

Loma and Wilder obviously have dangerous fights on the horizon. I favor Wilder more than Loma, but I don't necessarily think Loma will lose.

Although I think Wilder is more likely to win by KO or by a gift decision, there's a real chance of a Fury win, maybe 35%.

It all depends of Fury's frame of mind (will he be fully focused?) and on how much the judges favor the home country boxer.

The only other boxer in the poll who will possible lose is Lomachenko, who is in with a dangerous young opponent in Lopez. However, like Wilder, I think there 's more of a chance of Loma winning.

Canelo vacated his belt at 175 and not sure if he’s currently holding any titles nor which division his next fight will be. As for the rest I suppose there are a few who could lose some titles but since I don’t know who all of them are projected to fight over the next year it’s difficult to say. Wilder is fighting Fury in February and I think that match is 50/50.

Can we only choose one of the champs on the list above?

If not I would choose one of the world champs who already has a world title defense scheduled in January, like Tevin Farmer or Daniel Roman who are both making risky title defenses on January 30.

These ten champions are the most interesting for me right now, and there is no option for more than ten in the poll, because of that I made this thread on this way. We can discuss about others, of course, but there is no way to vote for them.

That is very understandable amigo. If you do a similar poll in the future you might want to try listing one of the 10 options as "Other" (Name your pick in your post below). That has worked for previous polls by myself and others in the past.

BTW if my memory serves me well I seem to remember you mentioning that you are from the country of Slovenia. If that is correct are you a fan of young Slovenian NBA star Luka Doncic? Despite his young age of 20 he has already turned into one of the fast-rising stars of the NBA!!

Don’t make me laugh. Lopez is untested. Loma boxes his ears off.

You are right concerning option "other", surely.

I don't like basketball, but I know that Dončić is popular in all region (ex-Yugoslavia)....................
