Do you believe Ruiz-Whyte will happen in 2020 ?
Do you believe Ruiz-Whyte will happen in 2020 ?
What do you think ? Why ?
Re: Do you believe Ruiz-Whyte will happen in 2020 ?
Don't care. Plenty of interesting fights these guys could have, but if they don't fight each other I don't think we're missing anything.
I mean it'd be fine and everything I just don't look for it to happen.

I don't think Ruiz will fight in 2020, so no.
Re: Do you believe Ruiz-Whyte will happen in 2020 ?
I don't care, but, apparently Eddie Hearn is claiming he offered Ruiz seven figures for March or April to fight Whyte.

I would like to see the fight, but I don't see it happening. Financially it would make sense for Ruiz. But what have the PBC got to gain from allowing their second biggest heavy weight name to fight Whyte next?

It’s been confirmed. Ruiz will RETURN to the ring around May/June.
Re: Do you believe Ruiz-Whyte will happen in 2020 ?
It looks like Whyte wants it before April and I imagine Ruiz will want to have it a bit later. I think because of this, we might get to see Whyte Vs Povetkin. If not, we could finally get to see him Vs Ortiz, however Ortiz's dominating display (pre-knockout) against Wilder might put him off.
Whyte is starting to run out of people to face that people won't complain about, especially if he wants to headline PPVs. They're either tied up (e.g. Pulev, Kownacki and the top 3), already faced each other (Chisora, Parker, Rivas etc.), or don't really have the record to deserve the fight (Hrgovoc, Joyce etc.). Only other one you could consider would be Hunter.

Andy Ruiz Jr. has confirmed plans to make his ring return sometime during May or June.
Eddie Hearn is apparently trying to pit the Mexican-American against Dillian Whyte during March or April, which might be too soon.
Matchroom would obviously prefer to stage the fight sooner rather than later, because I’m guessing Ruiz Jr. hasn’t been training during the festive period and may have gained more weight. It’s an easier fight for Dillian if he faces an ill-prepared version of Andy.
I’m not sure if Whyte and Ruiz Jr. will face each other during 2020, but the PPV-headlining Brit will need a couple of big-name dancing partners to keep himself busy this year appearing on Sky Box Office whilst all the world champions are tied-up facing other foes... and an opponent like Andy fits the bill.

I sense that ruiz is all washed up sitting in the hacienda counting his pesos and the motivation isnt there any longer , as he can feed his entire entourage and family for ever now.
The best Ruiz vs the best Whyte would be a tear up but we wont see it.
