RUMOUR: Bakole vs Hrgovic

Post by joshj909 »

I'd take this with a pinch of salt as it's come from Nelson, but if this comes off then this could be a great fight.

The only downsides are not so much about the fight itself but for the fighters. Should Bakole lose, it would make his record look a bit suspect considering he's a decent boxer but has lost to two guys who's records themselves don't reflect their actual skill level, he would need quite a few more fights to get himself to a world level position. On the other hand, i'm not sure Bakole is the "big name" opponent that Hrgovic needs to get some recognition from casuals to allow him to get some better fights and paychecks. But again, the fight itself should be great if it comes together.

A great matchup. A challenging bout for both. Gotta favour Hrgovic.

Don't see why this can't happen

Hrgovic will dump Bakole on his head
Hrgovic will rightfully be a big favourite, not really a 50/50 match up

Mismatchroom can hype it up and it will be a good win for Hrgovic.

Bakole isn't very good apart from having some pop, but he's slow as a snail.
Its not like Bakole is worthy of a bigger fight, so he should take what he gets.

Bakole is rated 35th at Box Rec. Not a bad opponent. In a ranking sense at Box Rec better than some of the people Wilder or Fury picked for a title defense.

Given that the light punching Mike Hunter stopped Bakole, Hrgovic would probably do it sooner.

After the smoke clears between Fury and Wilder, with the winner facing Joshua, Hrgovic will be in position for a fight for a world title.

Don't forget that Bakole had a pretty badly injured shoulder and the fight was fairly even on the cards...

Not nearly as impressed with Hrg as some are. He's stiff and slow and has 0 snap to his shots. He even got rocked by Tom Little! Both guys are big and strong but a bit lumbering. It would be a good matchup

I can't actually find them. Maybe I was thinking of fan cards or the televised in-house ones :maybe: most unofficial ones that I can find had Hunter up by two - give or take.
