I tend to agree - although both (particularly Fowler) have very high opinions of themselves

Well when you have a tv channel acting as your cheerleader these things tend to happen

He prob has been hindered by being sold as the next big thing, not like world standard but like elite world standard.
In reality he is between Brit and Euro and it's quite possible he won't win either belt.

The Fowler hype never really made much sense to me.

He was a decent amateur and is a solid domestic operator, but that is about it.

He isn't even a decent, likeable or funny guy.

I really don't get it.

I know Adam Smith is a big Liverpool fan so he is probably desperate for a scouser with THAT surname to make it big, but I can't see it happening.

Well, he was a worlds medalist, commonwealth am champ, and team GB olympic captain. Combine that with a come forward style where he was knocking guys out to start and some hype is understandable. He's a solid fighter but we've now seen his level a bit and you could arguably rate him as third among Fitz and Cheese.

Fitz and cheese sounds like a gimmicky double act that once came 5th in x factor.

I've seen fowler step up twice and twice he got beaten. Got bashed up in the 1st round of olympics and was lucky to go the distance after telling everyone he was a cert for gold and Fitz who looks a decent domestic fighter dealt with him also. Nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. British level at best and may even win British title if he waits for fitz to move on to euro level.
