I get both sides of the viewpoints, but the
Problem is there are lot of pussies whose closest form of action is a thumb war, and a lot of people that watch 4 fights a year who think they know boxing, or worse those who watch more and feel they are aficionados just because they watch, not being aware of ag of the other intricacies from ring size to style to gloves to even judges or refs. Ultimately very few people who have never fought know about boxing, and although there are also people that fought that don't know as much as others that haven't, it's rarer. The whole "laced em up" is a line to shut down the "aficionados or keyboard warriors" and sometimes it's warranted because there are lot of those on boxing forums in my valid opinion :)
