Alvarez and Murata in 'serious talks' for fight

Post by apollo creed »

“Murata is one of three candidates being discussed for Canelo’s next fight. But Murata is enormously popular in Japan—a Canelo fight could draw a crowd of 50,000-plus in a Tokyo Dome-like venue,” said Chris Mannix. from BN24

Easy money fight for Canelo but at what weight , 160 lbs or 168 lbs?

I heard it would be prime time on DAZN. What time would that make it in Japan? The next morning?

Murata is only a high reward match up IF it takes place on Japan and Canelo and his team know this.

Walk in the park for Canelo. Easy money. I'm just glad Smith isn't getting the fight and the dog shagger isn't getting paid :TU:

Murata is a decent opponent for Canelo comparing with Liam Smith, Chavez Jr and Rocky Fielding.

Yes, but at this stage of his career, everybody expect something more from Canelo. Murata fight would look exactly like JCC jr fight. I would be ok with this fight if Murata would be undefeated. But Brant and Njikam losses just proving how limited Murata is. (Still i like how he avenged those losses). I am still hoping Alvarez - Murata will not happen

Murata, GGG III, Munguia, etc are the kind of fights that Canelo is looking for. He could fight McGregor too. lol

Im going with who ever gives the most reasonable payout since who much Canelo is making per fight.
A fight with GGG is down the line and they are just trying to create drama or some BS. Murata if he sells out and brings in viewers and such in the japanse market then it makes total sense. Might been the same if Callum Smith has a big fanbase. Does he?
