No one ever cares about the fans. Just the money. Fighters could have a say if they wanted to. they are just as guilty as the promoters.

Basically just as quickly as Eddie Hearn built up the U.K. into one of the sports biggest Boxing hotbeds he'll tear down everything he's built even quicker.

The Arabs seem to just pick and choose random big events whereas Boxing fans in the U.K. came back time and again.

When Eddie starts trying to win back the faithful in the U.K. he will have already burned the bridge behind him in all likelihood.

Definitely sh*tty for Boxing fans.

Treat the big PPV with the same disdain , the promoter and boxer getting 30 mill treat you ,, don't go , don't buy the PPV , just stream , .

Then when the promoter has no new boxers cos he stopped holding local shows , just go on twitter and tell him ,, fook off and go to Saudi for your new boxers

Hearn is a greedy fuckin rat. Couldn't care less about the fans that have helped make him. All ifs and buts just now but IF AJ/Fury is gonna happen then it's probably the biggest fight involving two Brits ever and this piece of sh1t and his buddies at Sky are already talking about having it in Saudi? Shocking, even by his standards.

It's alright though, we have Brook and Dave Allen next month and a good few NXTGEN shows to look forward to. I love this sport but all this type of nonsense leaves me fuckin deflated at times....

I used to buy most PPVs as i'm usually stuck in with my kids at the weekend and it was a treat for me lol... I don't anymore out of principle. It's just gotten beyond a joke. Their whole model is just completely fukked up and designed to rinse as much out the fans as possible. Their punditry/commentary is dreadful bias pish, the judging and refereeing at their events are sketchy as fukk and seem to be getting worse. It's just AIDS.... Most of the time you have to watch with the sound off rather than listen to their tedious bullshit! It's like they're openly fukkin mocking you through the TV

As regards ppv phineas Barnum the American showman’s quote comes to mind “never give a sucker an even break” 😂 punters keep paying and Hearn will keep taking simple as that

True but Hearn and Sky are the architects of the whole deal. It's the fans who suffer for their greed. The AJ Fury fight might not even happen but if it did i would definitely try and get tickets if it were here. Wouldn't go to Saudi if you paid me! I'd be in the jail in less than 24 hrs there :KO: Just the thought of two Brits in the biggest fight we've seen here fighting in Saudi is a bitter pill to swallow.

And? Hearn will want to maximise his earnings too, by going to these Arab places. Both the boxers and the promoters take the Saudi shilling and promote these countries. The boxers aren't victims, they're adults and willing participants.

Whilst I still love the sport and watching the fights I hardly ever attend events any more and have become extremely selective about which PPV events I will buy whereas I used to attend about 8 or 9 shows a year and buy almost all the PPVs.

The cost of going to decent fights has increased exponentially over the years to the point where to get a decent seat particularly for the stadium fights costs hundreds and hundreds of pounds when the quality of the shows generally has gotten worse and worse. I can go for a full day at the races in hospitality with free booze and food all day in a swanky restaurant for less than the cost of a normal ticket to a boxing show so I've started to spend my money on that instead.

As for the PPVs, literally any decent fight now is PPV. PPV should be reserved only for the mega matches like Fury v Wilder, Canelo v GGG, Mayweather v Pacman etc. Not for Whyte, Bellew, Chisora and any old bum AJ is put in with and the cost is creeping up and up from £14.95 to £24.95 for a lot of shows now. Whilst I can easily afford the cost it's an utter piss take when you already have to pay a load for Sky Sports and BT Sport as it is and on principle I'm only buying the shows I really want to see now.

I'm becoming a bit disillusioned with the whole sport to be honest.

Good post Steve. Pretty much sums up my own feelings. I even got rid of Sky because of the shite they're feeding us. As you say, any good fight is stuck on PPV. I can take or leave the football unless it's my own team but i hate missing any boxing but enough is enough. I'd rather try a stream than pay through the nose for a sub standard product!

couldnt of worded it any better myself.
The part that I highlighted is exactly how I feel about Professional boxing at the minute. Get lot more enjoyment going to amateur shows at least you know they're fighting for the love of the sport

Indeed mate! I couldn't personally do without Sky Sports and BT Sport as I watch loads of different sports and so it is for me still worth the cost but boxing has become a huge racket now especially for Matchroom. The other thing I hate with them is how for any decent show all their tickets are supposedly sold out in an hour but then you see them all on ticket resale sites like StubHub and others for 3 times the price. It's a serious joke and another reason I've stopped buying.

Having fights in Saudi is just awful for the fans. Who wants to go and pay a couple of grand at least to go there when you can't even have a beer. For me those type of fight weekends go hand in hand with having a good piss up so I wouldn't even consider Saudi if you gave me a free ticket let alone when I'd have to pay a fortune for the pleasure.

There was an article, "Why Joshua vs. Wilder/Fury won't work in Saudi." Even thought Hearn has already said that fight should be in the UK.

Hearn saying Saudi has too much money, he's obviously using them to max his own profits, but UK boxers have good fanbases in the UK and arena's tend to sell when an opponent is matched correctly. He's basically taking that away,

It's gonna be a US situation. He's gonna take UK boxers to KSA and they're gonna be getting used to the high purses, then in the UK they will want them high purses and it just won't work.

Hearn has stuck a finger up the UK fans and is just focusing on US and now KSA.

The thing with KSA is they will only want the big fights. They will chose what they want.

If the Saudis are happy to pay such crazy amounts for fights, surely that negates the ‘need’ for PPV. Obviously it won’t as suckers keep paying for them, but it rightfully should.

Exactly... This 'we can earn more elsewhere' argument is completely redundant when you factor in the numbers they're earning and have already earned. Most working class folk like us on here have jobs and work to live. If we earn 12 quid an hour and someone offers us 20 then that's life changing for us and we can't afford to knock it back. These cuunts are already multi millionaires and will be earning more millions regardless so they can afford to have a bit of integrity and respect us fans a bit more but they just take and take! It's fuckin sickening! Then you have all the starry eyed sheep on social media who follow all these types and drool over them! It fukks me off beyond words!
