Came across his name, rung a bell and I looked him up.

Didn't realise he was an Olympic gold medalist, don't really understand why he wasn't pushed on more.

Obv in those days there wasn't the glut of world titles, but this guy stopped Minter, lost on a split decision in his world title shot away from home and then never got a chance again.

Good solid boxer, boring too. The upset after corro ended his chances. Mud 30's was old for a fighter then. Especially one that relies on speed and movement.

Harris beat John H. Stracey on the way to Olympic gold and was largely avoided by the cream of the crop in the pro ranks, including they say by Marvin Hagler. Minter had the balls to take him on and was stopped on cuts and southpaw Harris later outscored the dangerous if temperamental Gratien Tonna in an eliminator to secure his shot at Hugo Corro in Buenos Aires. Many fancied him to beat the Argentine but he wasn't busy enough in their 15-rounder.

Marvin should have fought Ronnie. Still would have won, but it would've been a struggle.
