With the look of Dave's Twitter feed it looks like he will be fighting Dorian Darch on the 8th Feb.

Surely the board won't sanction Darch to box Allen he's lost his last 6 inside the distance .

Allen should just keep fighting guys like darch (no disrespect to him hes always game) have like 5-10 fights with these type of guys build his record up and keep fit. I reckon after he chins darch he could fight Webb.

Yates? Standard bodybuilding's not that hard, but the exhaustive lifting Yates did is. I know I wouldn't fancy it.

I wonder if anybody recognises the guy stood with Yates. He was a big noise himself, back in the day.

ps. I can't see Darch having much chance of beating Allen who generally makes short work of low-level opponents.

Dorian West played hooker for Leicester (and the odd game for England, I think). I imagine he was reasonably handy down the boozer if things got a bit lairy.

I heard Gareth A. Davies talking about this fight on Talksport in the week. He claimed that although Allen got thoroughly beaten by David Price Price had the capability of being a world elite heavyweight and a world title challenger. Thankfully common sense prevailed when ex-Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan told Davies that he'd seen Price unravel at world level against the likes of Povetkin and Tony Thompson.
When the subject shifted to Kell Brook Davies said a win this weekend should get Brook a shot at world title at light-middle or maybe even welter. Jordan asked who the champions were and a slightly flustered Davies came up with two or three names including somebody called Justin Williams.
It makes me wince to think that Davies makes a living from being an 'expert on the sport.' - Talksport's Jim White's words.

Simon Jordan knows his boxing, and contrary to opinion, he talks a lot of sense.

Garath A Davies lack of knowledge really grates. He should really know schoolboys upwards in his position.

In fact, Wiley knows his boxing too. More than GAD. Maybe he should take over IFL 😉

Adam Smith gets a lot of stick but the likes of Davies flies under the radar, really stealing a living, if anyone deserved more stick than Smith....

His best plan was that whoever was in The Championship Playoffs should be allowed to bet £20mill on themselves to lose to even up the absurd financial cliff edge !
