Broner is terrible man. Get over him. His wide stance is not good enough. He can be easily outboxed by any top level opponent because he moves like sh*t. Fights don't happen in a phone booth. A philly shell doesn't matter if you're getting stung by a faster footed guy from the outside all night.gilgamesh wrote: ↑03 Feb 2020, 14:02And Judah gets compared to Broner a lot too.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑03 Feb 2020, 13:18

Get over him? What's that supposed to mean? I'm basically saying that Gervonta is gonna turn into another loser to the stars like Broner did.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑03 Feb 2020, 15:34Broner is terrible man. Get over him. Not sure if he'll be able to keep selling himself after he losses the way Broner does though. Broner is the guy people love to hate.

Oh, I mixed you up with the guy saying Broner is the biggest waste of talent in the last decade and would have beat Lomagilgamesh wrote: ↑03 Feb 2020, 15:37Get over him? What's that supposed to mean? Can we get back to the incident?

If this is happening in full public, what is going on behind closed doors?
Also, in the picture, is that his hand at her throat?

Floyd was overweight for a fight too btw
Mayweather never looked like that. I've seen Davis look like that at fights when he's out in the audience. Mayweather still to this day don't ever show up some place looking fat, and he's retired.
As for he didn't struggle at all. He lost rounds, and it went to the 12th against a guy that was considered to be just a faded name for him to quickly dispatch going in.
Re: Gervonta Davis the next Broner?
Assuming that's his girlfriend. I have the same policy toward the potential domestic abuse with her as I'd have with every other woman in the World.
If your partner abuses you. I feel sorry for you the 1st time it happens. If you're still with him for it to happen to you a 2nd, 3rd, 4th time or more. I don't care what happens to you.
If you're too stupid to get away from somebody that physically abuses you. You're too stupid for me to be concerned about.

When you see Tank in public, you more clearly remember that although he's a beast in the ring vs guys his size, he's still a tiny little munchkin in reality. If he starts some sh!te just grab him and sit on him ![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)
Re: Gervonta Davis the next Broner?
Was Broner really ever going to be all that? I'm not sure he did fail to fulfil his potential. He found his level. When assessing potential, discipline, character, work ethic etc all play their part. He was and always will be a grade A bell-end. I never bought the little Floyd bollocks. He's continued to get big fights and paydays for being a 'character' (or, to put it another way, a 'prick').
Re: Gervonta Davis the next Broner?
Since Mayweather retired for the 10th time he's turned into a suit case
Re: Gervonta Davis the next Broner?
Wow. What a clip. How many purses and man bags had to die so that he could wear that?
I've always thought Louis Vuitton stuff was ugly as f*ck. Don't see what's so great about spending a fortune on an ugly suitcase.

Totally agree, I gave him zero chance against Mariana or any of his other high profile fights.Matt W wrote: ↑04 Feb 2020, 09:13 Was Broner really ever going to be all that? Duran, Chavez, Morales, etc... Plenty of great fighters ballooned in between fights. Not ideal, but he's miles more talented than broner ever was. Broner didn't squander anything in the ring, he just wasn't good enough.gilgamesh wrote: ↑03 Feb 2020, 12:54I'm not talking about weighing in a pound or two over the limit. I'm talking goddamn fat. Wrongly, you couldn't ask for a fighter to be much more consistent than zab Judah.gilgamesh wrote: ↑03 Feb 2020, 14:02And Judah gets compared to Broner a lot too.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑03 Feb 2020, 13:18

Re: Gervonta Davis the next Broner?
Zab Judah was a talent just stamina let him down and being cocky around the Tszyu fight.
Re: Gervonta Davis the next Broner?
He definitely has a more efficient style, and doesn't rely on that Philly Shell defense (which Broner sucks ass at doing, making it even stupider that he relies on it like he does). Broner definitely lacks IQ in all facets of his life. In ring and out.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑04 Feb 2020, 14:19Duran, Chavez, Morales, etc... Plenty of great fighters ballooned in between fights. Lack of discipline outside the ring though catches up to you. Talented or not, and Davis of late doesn't seem like the brightest guy in the world either.
He's also a guy that we've been hearing for years has potential to be one of the best, potential to beat Loma, potential to beat this guy...potential, potential, potential. And then he fights washed up Gamboa, and no hopers.
So if the guy's got potential to fight the Elite let's see him do it already.
Re: Gervonta Davis the next Broner?
It's kinda interesting sometimes when guys have consistent stamina issues.
Jermain Taylor and Jean Pascal were two world class guys that basically never failed to show stamina problems in almost all of their fights.
With Taylor I think it could be explained because of the way he's constantly moving his arms back and forth, and shuffling his feet and stuff. Just a lot of wasted movement and energy.
Not sure why Pascal burns so much energy, he's clearly in great shape, but you can pretty well take it to the bank that he's not gonna be as effective in the last third of a fight as he was previously. The 7th round slow down I call it with Pascal, because it's as predictable as the tides.

Stamina is an ability like any other, some guys have less capacity for it then others no matter how hard they train

Hes a small kid from one of the absolute worst areas in the country. He has a chance to put that behind him, just hard to change who you are. The potential is obvious if you have eyes, the potential opponents aren't very clear. Loma don't want none.gilgamesh wrote: ↑04 Feb 2020, 14:36He definitely has a more efficient style, and doesn't rely on that Philly Shell defense (which Broner sucks ass at doing, making it even stupider that he relies on it like he does). Judah could have easily have got away with taking EPO around his time with poor drug testing then.
