Hearn needs to deliver better fights for some of these guys
Especially Liam Smith and Joseph Parker from what I've seen. What fights would you make if you were Hearn? Personally I would make Brook vs Smith. Not sure for Parker.

To be fair, he did have chis for Parker. witch if Parker won probably would of given him usyk. Getting injured/sick is kinda tricky. If he gets a no dramas win end of feb, id like him in 2nd spot on a whyte or the AJ card.
Re: Hearn needs to deliver better fights for some of these guys
How about Srisaket Sor Rungvisai; he needs something good, soon.

Hearn really neglects a lot of his stable to focus on the big hitters, namely Joshua of course.
His dalliances with Dazn and picking up some of the American talents has seen people like Callum Smith fester in the wilderness somewhat.

Announced today that Srisaket will face TBA on March 7th in Thailand as part of WP boxing

Does he delegate any of his foreign operations or lower level cards? I think he needs to a bit more. He seems to put on a similar number of big cards but spread the increasing number of fighters across them.

Frank Smith is the CEO of Matchroom. And Matchroom often works with other promoters, such as Sauerland, to manage some of the events they stage.
One of the problems we’re seeing are inflated purses, due to Fox, ESPN and DAZN entering the market and being willing to pay a premium to cover marquee bouts.
This means that big-name UK domestic level fighters often prefer to compete overseas or on PPV's in order to maximise their paydays.
I think Eddie already explained that Sky would struggle to have some of the biggest names in his stable compete on non-PPV events, because that network are unwilling to pay enough.
That being said, DAZN are willing to pay huge purses to see their biggest stars compete against second-tier anonymous names, which just seems strange to me. And ESPN+/Top Rank seem to be going down the very same path.
Re: Hearn needs to deliver better fights for some of these guys
Matchroom boxing UK is going to topple soon I reckon.
He's more interested in dazn and novelty fights than his stable of UK boxers. With the exception of Joshua.
If you were sky would you renew the exclusive contract with one promoter at this stage in boxing's evolution? They're only interested in ppv events as they abandoned just about all of their regular boxing programming a couple of years ago.
The dam is going to burst soon in the UK.

His handling of Buatsi has been pretty poor so far. He should be further on in his career at the moment with better experience.

I didn't realise that about him. If that's the case maybe Hearn is fed up with him?randall cunningham wrote: ↑08 Feb 2020, 12:00Thats more Buatsi himself, hes really cautious. Pulled out of 2 cards, at least, last year for not being 100%.

He probably would be if he wasnt so good, also having the golden boy as his manager will give Buatsi a lot of leeway.Stuarty wrote: ↑08 Feb 2020, 12:04I didn't realise that about him. If that's the case maybe Hearn is fed up with him?randall cunningham wrote: ↑08 Feb 2020, 12:00

Yeah Buatsi is perfectionist - some guys would go in 85-90% - he’ll pull out as you say twice last year.randall cunningham wrote: ↑08 Feb 2020, 12:00Thats more Buatsi himself, hes really cautious. Pulled out of 2 cards, at least, last year for not being 100%.
I expect we might see him on 28th March card v Capparello ?

Who else would Sky have to turn to though ?ewenhay wrote: ↑06 Feb 2020, 08:51 Matchroom boxing UK is going to topple soon I reckon.

BT have even less content.
I expect the new deal will be 8 Sat night - 3-4 next gens and 4-5 PPV.
The 8 Sat nights will give them less dates but more money to put into the shows.
Matchroom can’t make shows if Sky fee isn’t enough. The Brook show tonight will probably barely cover costs.

Yeah, hes supposed to be on that card, Capparello fights gone quiet though, same with Johnson vs Mikhalkin. I wouldnt be surprised it Buatsi is now fighting Mikhalkin on March 28th, and Bivol vs Johnson is now happening, maybe on Whyte/Povetkin3132DW wrote: ↑08 Feb 2020, 19:35Yeah Buatsi is perfectionist - some guys would go in 85-90% - he’ll pull out as you say twice last year.randall cunningham wrote: ↑08 Feb 2020, 12:00

Re: Hearn needs to deliver better fights for some of these guys
Parker is running the risk of becoming irrelevant, which would be a big shame.
It wasn't that long ago he held a trinket and even less time since he arguably came within a whisker of beating Whyte.
I'm surprised the Chisora fight seems to have vanished from the radar.
As far as I'm concerned I don't see the point in him fighting Chisora, as I believe he should be chasing bigger dogs, but I understand from a commercial point of view that it is worth putting on.
Chisora seems to have good kudos and a lot of fans want to see him,
Whatever Hearn has in store for Parker, he should realistically be getting Parker to be dining at the top table by early '21, otherwise Joseph could end up being forgotten.

Buatsi v Capparello - Summer now - suspect AJ undercard. He’s on Mar 28th but Intl fight.randall cunningham wrote: ↑09 Feb 2020, 08:12Yeah, hes supposed to be on that card, Capparello fights gone quiet though, same with Johnson vs Mikhalkin. Benson got some of his own info for once yesterday. Interview with Hearn, had this to say3132DW wrote: ↑15 Feb 2020, 14:31Buatsi v Capparello - Summer now - suspect AJ undercard. He’s on Mar 28th but Intl fight.randall cunningham wrote: ↑09 Feb 2020, 08:12

https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/6692 ... ssion=trueI just want Bivol to get his opportunity. It’s frustrating because he really needs to fight in April/May, but what kind of fight is it? We don’t want another Isaac Chilemba or Lenin Castillo, he needs that test now. It could be Callum Johnson. If Bivol’s gonna have a voluntary defence I would like it to be Callum Johnson.”
I suspect this is why Johnson/Mikhalkin keeps getting delayed. Buatsi would be next up in the EBU rankings, but going off yesterdays interviews sounds like hes not having much more than a tuneup

I wouldn't mind seeing those fights.
