Israil Madrimov

Looks like a work in progress but I could see him eventually developing into a real talent. I disagree with the idea of him being ready for a title shot quite yet.

I enjoyed his overall performance, I gave B, but I think (dunno if is part of his style) he is too desperate, anxious or ever, remembers like Porter 2 years ago and had very few technical mistakes IMO. Madrimov needs at least 2x (3 star) bouts before taking a title shot.

Yeah, quite a bit of lunging. Too anxious maybe but that should be fixed with more pro bouts. He missed some of his shots wide. Really wide.

Very good for a guy with only 3 pro bouts. Of the many Uzbekistani amateur standouts currently flooding the pro ranks, Madrimov is one of the most promising so far.

He had that great KTFO, but then in the fights I've seen of him since he goofs around too much and is kinda wild, like he's looking for that ko again

He is on fast track, but still needs to sharpen his boxing skills in professional ring IMO.

He changes angles a lot just to load up on big shots. I don't like that.

Madrimov is still a work in progress but has fought more quality opposition in his first 4 pro bouts than most of his fellow prospects. Most ex-amateur standouts face nothing but tomato cans in their first few bouts. That's a good sign for him & I expect him to continue to improve his opposition.

Navarro's okay for a 4 fight guy, his last fight he beat a 23-0 guy who was a good amateur and a world series of boxing fighter. We can't expect guys to be moved at Loma paces and Maddy needs more work anyway

That's true. They can make better fights for him but no way should they be trying to rush a title shot for Madrimov.

Navarro is a veteran gatekeeper with 3 of his last 5 wins coming against undefeated fighters!!

Madrimov is not as fast-track as his countryman Akhmadaliev (who just won unified world belt at 122 in his 8th bout) but he's not far behind and I cant think of too many young prospects who are on a faster track than the 24-year-old Madrimov!!

Feel free to name any global prospects who are developing as fast as Israil so early in their pro careers!!

He's being moved fine, I just don't think he's ready for a title shot.

I dont think he's ready for a world title shot either and he may not match Akhmadaliev by winning a belt in his 8th pro bout. But I could definitely see him winning one after 10-12 bouts, assuming he continues to develop as steadily as he has so far..

Agreed. They should just focus on his development, work on his accuracy. Keep him active and get him out against different styles.
