If this was a confidence fight it’s backfired. Brook looks like fck all. I’d pick Khan to beat him never mind Smith.
Brook would leather Khan.

Sure, he was in control from start to finish, but with a face that failed to convince me he's left his fracture fears behind. Which is only human — I don't think anyone ever recovers fully from bad injuries. But boxing's a terrible sport for self-doubt at the best of times.

I've no idea, because although I think Brook's in better shape physically than Khan, I also think Khan's recovered well from his losses mentally and has no damage preying on his mind. He's slower with worse timing, but so's Brook.
It's the old classic for me — if Khan doesn't get caught! But I'd give him, faded though he is, a much better chance of that than previously.

Aye that's sometimes true lol...
Re: Kell Brook vs. Mark DeLuca - 8 February 2020
Brook didn't look anything special at all tonight but considering the opponent he was on a hiding to nothing really. He was in good shape, his jab (which i think is his best weapon) was solid, hurtful and accurate as usual. I think Brook and Liam Smith's styles would gel in to a decent fight tbh. As far as Khan goes, that aint happening and if it did then Brook would beat Khan just from his jab alone.

Took his time, didn't rush and got the job done. He's not boxed for 13 months and the fight before that was 9 months which only lasted a couple of rounds. Will have done his confidence a world of good finishing it of like that. He took a few shots but walked through them and also made him miss badly at times. The Smith fight would tell us loads more but still feel Brook would beat him. Khan fight will never happen as Khan knows he will get sparked.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Mark DeLuca - 8 February 2020
So Khan won‘t go near Kell because he knows he‘ll get stopped, so he decides to take on the likes of Canelo and Crawford instead. I don’t know about that. Regardless, I agree it’s not happening.

Professional job from Brook, looked alright I suppose but not really sure what this proves he has left, DeLuca was strong and did clip Brook a couple of times but really he was outclassed from the off, the knockdown Brook scored in the 3rd was top drawer, 7/8 punch combination and the left hand for the finish was a topper, walked DeLuca right on to the punch
As I say not much to gauge from the win, Brook switching southpaw a couple of times, not really sure what that was all about, I think it was Dom's instructions maybe to take away DeLuca's southpaw advantage, also Brook doesn't look big at 154, still job well done but he cant be fvcking about inbetween camps like before

It took all that time to put away a guy 5 divisions lower who was brought in to lose , and even then he was scared to commit most of the time , and got caught often , especielly when he turned southpaw , Really he should of put this guy away in 3 or 4 ,, Whats more i don't think the Smith fight will happen , I just think Brook thinks he's a step above and will not risk getting beat which would be likely .
Womens boxing just can't take to it and especielly the 2 min rnds , they want equality go the 3 min ... But really what the hell is a 39 year old woman , doing getting that spot on that show

You can lose to Crawford/Canelo - World Class lb for lb - they were shots nothing where you always have punchers chance at greatness & well paid.
Brook is the mental/embarrassment of losing locally to someone he dislikes.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Mark DeLuca - 8 February 2020
Seems to me Brook has made a career out of beating 3rd & 4th raters and this latest win was no exception
I noticed a post on a recent Lloyd Honeyghan thread questioning the quality of names on his record.
Admittedly that post was very much in the minority, but if a British great like Honeyghan is being questioned then Brook's record must be the subject of a full scale investigation !
To my mind he's faced 3 first raters in his whole career. Ok, the GGG shellacking you can't hold against Brook and it was a silly match up, but the Porter win was unconvincing and Spence gave him a real thumping.

Maybe a case of another very talented British fighter happy with what he has achieved and come out of the game knowing that at an true elite level he hasn't what those other guys have. There is no shame in that. Just a life after the career is over. Grab whatever money you can get and fornicate the fans opinions.

ok for a comeback fight but deluca had little talent and was clearly going to lose .
Brook needs to do better if he expects to get a title shot this year

This was a crap fight.
I thought Brook would end it like he did Rabchenko, then I thought, na he will be careful.
After 2-3 rounds, I got bored. Was waiting for it to end cuz I wanted to catch up on some soaps. My mrs sat next to me, started nodding off.
Fair play to DeLuca. Had nothing to lose, but you can see he gave it a little.
