I used to be, still remember absolutely raging when Lewis-Holyfield 1 was declared a draw. But I’ve not really cared for a long time tbh, boxing has always been corrupt and isn’t changing anytime soon, just got to accept it really.
Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
No you DON'T ,, Why the hell should people pay there hard earned wages , to watch a sporting match , either live or PPV , Only to have the sportsmen only playing and not competing properly so they and /or there mates and accomplices , win a bet and rob the bookies .Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑11 Feb 2020, 19:41I used to be, still remember absolutely raging when Lewis-Holyfield 1 was declared a draw. Course its always ben there , its always been part of the culture ,,, BUT nowadays with tv coverage , playback ect ect , Its easier to spot and easier to prove , .
Its a changing world and Mr Eddie Hearn keeps telling us that , he reckons Frank is out of date , a dinosaur ,, well let him lead the way , he already believes he leads the way and his way is the future of bocxing and sport ,
So come on Eddie and matchroom lead the way , show the fans you care , and BAN any and all boxers and managers from ANY of his promotions , if caught cheating , either with steroids or fight fixing ,, its not hard to spot , and alls you have to do is make them pay the price , just a ban from any matchroom promotion ,.
BBBC is all piss and wind , thunder and bluster , and only works when the one there banning does'nt have much money ,, its been proven , before and will be proven again , if you get lawyers involved , threaten legalk action and convice them you'll go all the way with the courts , they will leave you alone , hence why some can get away with being caught twice for the use of drugs , while others get big bans ,, hence why some promoters can consistanly get away with being banned after not paying fighters , and others called over the coals for bugger all .
The promoters are the ones with the power , if they demand squeeky clean from any and all involved with them squeaky clean is what they will get ,,, but it won't happen with matchroom , cos the silver spoon born boy with the plum in the mouth , loves to mix with the proper geezer types .

Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
If British boxing is so corrupt then there's no hope for just about every other boxing board around the world.
How many other countries would we prefer boxing to take place in the world ? Britain will figure very high on the list.
Groenewald was a moaner who was legitimately defeated by British boxers time and again. No one put a gun to his head and made him box in Britain.

Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
whats the issue, it was a decent fight while it lasted. both men trading and giving their all. people lose their lives in the ring. please lets not question the bravery of anyone who enters the square circle.

No one has questioned anyone's bravery. People have fixed boxing before. There was a spike in betting on 3rd then KO happened after nothing happening round 1 & 2. May be a coincidence but definitely need investigating
Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
Did you actually watch the fight? Can show me a punch thrown with spite in the first two rounds by Allen?

this was suspect as well. Hide it better with loads of people putting money on it
Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
Of course it was a fix.. I know it was.
Just as obviously, it’s impossible to prove - why wouldn’t Allen want to get a few rounds in, then step on the gas and win as soon as he did ?
The R3 fix in a fight where the favourite can win when he wants and KO1 is heavily favoured.
Haye did it, Conlan did it and now Allen.
Darch didn’t even need to be in on it, tho’ probably was.
All were fixes, all were investigated, all were(will be) exonerated, because there’s enough reasonable doubt.
No point crying about it Ricky - at least the Punch was real !

Sooner dave allen leaves boxing the better for all of us. Hes mince
Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
Remember Gomez threw a fight against McDonagh in an Irish title bout years ago. Just turned his back and refused to fight on. I'm sure he had his purse withheld.
Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
Maybe Haye carried Audley, but Harrison certainly didn't take a dive. Yarde's probably carried every opponent he's ever had bar Kov. Nothing anyone can do about that, but also, they aren't "fixed" results, unless the other guy is on board. I'm certain Darch was, he took a dive & i think they may well get caught. I've a feeling too many people knew about r3, someone's leaked something and the police could well trace it back to the fighters.skanksta wrote: ↑13 Feb 2020, 04:05 Of course it was a fix.. Thing that i find TOTALLY ....AND .... UTTERLY..... STUPID... .... Is the fact that even if it was fixed , it does'nt have to look fixed ,,,,, Years ago i took a guy to fight on a show , and his opponent did'nt show .... Promoter was having kittens he was left with no main event ,,, So there was another guy who was my fighters best mate , and my good mate , he travelled down with us , he was actually a top kickboxer , but they had sparred dozens and dozens of rnds before , the kick boxer used to come to me for his hands .
Anyway help the promoter out , he jumped in and it was announced has a late replacement , / exhibition , I warmed them both up in the dressing room , and instructed them put on a show , LOTS and LOT and LOTS of big slaps too the body , and lots of see for a mile overhand wild swings , The crowd loved it , they just came out looking mean , looking keen and slapping the shit out of each other , Unscripted even threw a few after the bell twas rnd 6 i instructed said kickboxer take one let them have a ko , its a exhibition anyway , he did , , crowd loved it , it was a bit of a wwe ending , but honestly the boxing was real just the punches were slaps , crowd was happy promoter was saved , lads got paid , and it looked like a great scrap . some said it was the best fight they ever seen ,
When they can't even be bothered to do that , for fook sake don't ever use them again on your show

It looked unusual but was clear how Darch could not hang with him. Could have ended earlier, though.
Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
I’m sorry but this is a daft argument. Firstly no one was questioning anyone’s bravery. Secondly, just setting foot in the ring doesn’t automatically make you’re character unquestionable. That fight was bent has it can get and everyone in that ring damaged the sport.

Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
So I got weighed in £50 at 3/1 on Thursday. Withdraw the coin and I’ve had about 15 bets since.
So this morning I had £150 in my account. Had £50 on Brentford - Blackburn BTTS at evens. Settled as a winner but my account showing £0. Obviously should be 200 notes in. I’ve messaged them and while not confirmed I think they’ve just took the £200 back off me without telling me. Outrageous.

Re: Dave Allen vs Darch under investigation for MATCH FIXING
I'm not convinced Darch was in on this, even though the first couple of rounds were very odd. It's not as if Darch had displayed Oliver McCall levels of punch resistance in his previous fights!
