Whyte vs. Povetkin, close to be signed, April/May. Who wins and how ?

Should be yet another competitive and punishing heavyweight fight.
Whyte’s not perfect but he can be very awkward and insistent in there.

If Whyte comes in shape he should edge a victory but Pov wont make it easy for him

I’ll go with Whyte decision. Whyte definitely didn’t look his best in his last fight. I expect him to do better in this next one though. I think Whyte beats Povetkin UD

"Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin in final stages of negotiation"
It looks like the pair of heavyweights will come to terms to square off in the ring.
It appears discussions between the teams representing Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin have been heating up as the sides are reportedly nearing a deal for a fight expected to happen between April and May.
“We are at the final stage of approvals,” Povetkin’s promoters World of Boxing said. “Final clarity may appear in the near future.”
Povetkin’s promoters would continue to say that they still have some interest in a second fight with Michael Hunter, but that a fight with Whyte is currently more appealing to fans, calling the potential fight the most promising for both of their careers at this moment.
Whyte (27-1, 18 KOs) is most recently coming off a unanimous decision win over Mariusz Wach last December while and has be quite audible about his desire to finally land a WBC title shot against Deontay Wilder. Meanwhile Povetkin (35-2-1, 24 KOs) drew with the aforementioned Hunter on the same card as Whyte last December in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

I've always advocated for a PED tournament with Ortiz, Whyte, Pov, and Miller. Winner could fight the gypsy ped king
Re: Whyte vs. Povetkin, close to be signed, April/May. Who wins and how ?
I think Povetkin could still pull off a win, even now. I'm not sold on Whyte who seems to get dropped quite often.
Re: Whyte vs. Povetkin, close to be signed, April/May. Who wins and how ?
I'd favour a prime povetkin, but he is 40 now. Whyte has a habit of grinding out wins lately, so I would have to make him the solid favourite here.
It'll be a war though.

Think Whyte will grind this one out with Povetkin having moments. Close but unanimous decision.

Dillian Whyte is a much busier fighter than Michael Hunter and probably the bigger puncher, as well as being more robust and experienced.
And I also believe that Povetkin was outworked by Hunter and should have lost that fight.
So I’d expect Whyte to score a relatively comfortable points win over Povetkin, with the Russian only having a punchers chance, but even then that’s only a remote possibility, because the Brit is as tough as nails!
If anything, Whyte might even score a late stoppage over a gassed-out Povetkin, because the Russian looked fragile towards the end of his bout against Hunter.
