Feigenbutz Imports $200 Case Of Water "Because We Don't Trust Anyone Here"Feigenbutz Imports $200 Case Of Water "Because We Don't Trust Anyone Here"

Vincent Feigenbutz and his team had already checked out of the hotel to which they were booked by the time a special package arrived for the visiting super middleweight contender.

Eventually making its way to the 24-year old from Karlsruhe, Germany was a case of oxygenated bottled water valued at roughly $200. It is all that Feigenbutz will drink heading into his mandatory challenge of unbeaten super middleweight titlist Caleb Plant (19-0, 11KOs), which takes place this Saturday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

“We only drink our stuff,” Feigenbutz (31-2, 28KOs) insisted to Boxing Scene. “It’s not a magic potion or anything. It’s refreshing and we know it’s clean. For the same reasons, we only eat our food. We love all our fans here, but we don’t trust anyone when it comes to the (food and drinks) that goes into my body.

“His team has shown they are unprofessional. This is supposed to be his hometown show, even though nobody knows who he is. But the people running this know who he is, and we don’t trust anybody.”

The claims are quite outrageous from the visiting former interim super middleweight titlist, who hopes to upset the massive odds in his second shot at a full title. A 10-fight win streak accompanies Feigenbutz’s stateside debut which airs live in primetime on Fox (Saturday, 8:00pm ET/7:00pm local time). The night also represents the first true homecoming fight for Plant, who was born and raised in Ashland City, roughly 30 miles northwest of the downtown Nashville site where he attempts the second defense of his 168-pound strap.

“If you come to me with his team, we host you, we drive you around,” notes Rainer Gottwald, Feigenbutz’s outspoken manager. “When his team came, our buses are next to each other. We say hello, they give us the finger. We are cordial, we are educated. They are rude and not good hosts.

“If we can’t trust them to be professional, how can we trust them with what we eat and drink?”

It's not as if Caleb Plant is some well known big timer with enough power to make this happen.

It's not like it's Vegas or Russia..

yeah confusing... :maybe:
We were getting angry with the home-cooking then Diego wins a close fight generously wide.
Still, good fight and boxing not corrupt - must be good. :box:

Looking at who Plantain has defended against we might see Pattycake Nielsen, Kytrov or Magic Mike Gavronski get a shot soon :oo

It was only rubbish Feigunbutz, but that was still a stylish performance.
No reason he couldn't beat the big beasts @ 168 and go the distance in a loss vs Canelo.

Feigenbutz had fought nothing but nobodies, winning an alphabet belt briefly vs an Italian club fighter at home in Germany, so not surprising he was outclassed vs Plant.. Would love to see Plant fight another of the big boys at 168 like Smith, Caleno or Benavidez

Perfectly legit stoppage. He told him to walk and he was stumbling as he did. If you take an 8 count and still can't walk straight, you can't blame the ref for stopping the fight.

Also why are these PBC on FOX cards always run so behind schedule? The card was scheduled from 8-10 PM EST and the main event didn't start until 10:25.

Good stoppage from the ref, Feigenbutz was taking a pounding and wasn't getting out of the way of the punches, dominant performance from Plant, he won everything, his jab was excellent and he looked good when he put his combinations together, whenever he let his hands go he landed, it looked after 3 rounds that Feigenbutz wouldn't make it to the midway point but Plant dropped his workrate a little and boxed him, Feigentbutz started to look busted up though and Plant put his foot down, started working the body and he couldn't miss with the left uppercuts, Feigenbutz is tough but basic as they come , no head movement and was taking a lot of punishment , good to see the ref step in after he took another clean combination

Terrible stoppage..
Reiss reminds me of that Aerosmith/run DMC song, Walk this way, talk this way...
Don't tell me the ref isn't aware of the time...he asked the kid to take his arms of the ropes and he did immediately and was clear eyed as well.. answered his questions...
Richard Steele esque..
