Re: Evgeny Romanov
He is an okay fighter but tiny at HW and not with the right style or attributes to make up for it at top level
Re: Evgeny Romanov
wonder if wilder would want a rematch to tidy up his record

Re: Evgeny Romanov
I am wondering if now is the right time for him to try to beat Povetkin which would propel him on the next level marketability wise.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑17 Feb 2020, 15:39 He is an okay fighter but tiny at HW and not with the right style or attributes to make up for it at top level
Re: Evgeny Romanov

Re: Evgeny Romanov
I don't see why not. Especially if Wilder loses. Like when Tyson fought ... Tillman.stevec@france wrote: ↑17 Feb 2020, 15:42 wonder if wilder would want a rematch to tidy up his record

You know that joke Wilder has history of making excuses that goes furtger back than the Fury loss
When Fury brought up him getting KTFO in Russia, Wilder claimed he was sick/ill for the Romanov fight hahaha.

Re: Evgeny Romanov
Why on earth would Wilder bother with this guy at this point in his career? Should he go back and avenge a loss to Zinmnoch and the other guys who beat him in the ams? He's 35 and coming off a bad loss, he should be going for as much money as possible while he's still up there. Romanov doesn't even have a C+ level win to make himself a legit contender
Re: Evgeny Romanov
To be fair he hasn't been a pro for very long and at 34 he's left it far too late. If you'e going to turn pro then do it before you turn 30 ... better still mid-twenties. No need to correct me. I know that his turning pro wasn't recent but he didn't debut until 2016 and his progress hasn't set the world alight.
I have watched some amateur footage of him. He was pretty effective back then.

Re: Evgeny Romanov
He has power, but he needs to work on his boxing skills more, while he's not young. He struggled with Bracamonte not so long ago. Is he ready to step up? He'll prbably lose, when he faces some of gatekeepers.
