Yeah, that is something extra.Syntax Error wrote: ↑16 Feb 2020, 13:15 Barkley is a curious case..
It's probably correct to say he doesn't belong, but he gets props for being the only man to arguably intimidate Thomas Hearns.
I don't know what it was about Barkley, but he definitely had something over Hearns.
Tyson wasn't scary when he said that.gregregegg wrote: ↑09 Jan 2020, 22:34 Mike Tyson in one of those, "ill fu.ck you till you love me faggot" moods. number one for scary there.
Van Horn looked terrified in the moments before their fight !Syntax Error wrote: ↑16 Feb 2020, 13:15 Barkley is a curious case..

Tyson most likely was on steroids big time, but was intimidating to many. Very little testing and they were rampant as far as use, especially in combat sports.gregregegg wrote: ↑09 Jan 2020, 22:34 Mike Tyson in one of those, "ill fu.ck you till you love me faggot" moods. number one for scary there.
Same here, I don't personally recall anyone casting such a menacing shadow over boxing as Mike Tyson. Even as the wheels began to fall off in his personal life there was still this feeling it might only increase his ferrocity inside the ring.Syntax Error wrote: ↑16 Feb 2020, 12:33 Mike Tyson is number 1 in my lifetime, at least prior to 1990.
He terrified the majority of his opponents into submission before a punch was thrown.
After 1990, not so much, although Alex Stewart and Frank Bruno might disagree with me.
Honourable mention to the Hitman, Thomas Hearns, arguably the only man who ever intimidated Roberto Duran.
He is a good shout.
Thanks to the chinney D level he's been feasting on. Ten rounds to ko Szpilka? Couldn't stop a half trained Bermane Stiverne so they had to drag in his fat corpse so Wilder could knock him over. Couldn't drop Duhaupas who Povetkin comatosed in one punch. You mean the guy who couldn't knock out Charlie Zelenoff is one of the scariest boxers of all time? He doesn't even hit as hard as Wlad lolmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑10 Jan 2020, 21:13Nah, dude has legit dynamite in his hands, look what happens when he lands. Very scary to face.
That rant after McClellan knockout was scary, he didn't give five f*cks about the guy on the floor.
