Looks a good deal for both parties when it comes to pushing PPVs.
For the Wilder v Fury fight, they’ve had the series on the Gypsy King, shown the 12th round (that was originally on BT) and have also had Paris Fury on Good Morning Britain quite a few times.
I guess they’ll get the show from BT at minimal cost and it will help BT push the PPV.
I can’t see how it work though for non-PPV lead up shows (also, it’s probably also been mentioned, but ITV have closed their PPV channel) though.
Will also help FW attracting better fighters.

So will this mean ITV will be showing BT udercards the way BN did when Frank first went over to BT?
Re: Queensbury Promotions TV deal BT sports and ITV
No ITV 1 will be showing the main event, and possibly a recorded earlier fight if there is enough time left on the slotted show. BT Sports will be showing the whole card

Is this a one off - to try and get the PPV sold. Seems a strange one though. I'm just wondering out loud whether ITV are thinking Fury could possibly be the figurehead of a relaunch of ITV box office. I'm aware it ceased trading but I think ITV box office had the wrong figurehead in Eubank Jnr.
Fair play Frank has done some confusing (but good) TV deals in his time.

They won’t be relaunching the channel for a while at least. It costs several hundred grand to actually have a channel even if it’s not being used. I think ITV are just getting some good free content in exchange for pushing the fight.stujones wrote: ↑20 Feb 2020, 09:10 Is this a one off - to try and get the PPV sold. Seems a strange one though. I think they’ll help BT push other PPV fights too but I’d be surprised if they get involved with non-PPV lead up shows.

The whole card will be shown live from 8pm on BT Sports YouTube channel. Looks like they are going to be pushing the PPV like crazy. Don't think there has ever been a live show broadcast on terrestrial TV, pay TV and YouTube all at the same time before.
