McCullagh was a good am fighter. Maybe he turned pro too late? Irish am boxing has a good set up and looks after their guys. Tends to happen with a lot of Irish amateurs.

Yeah he was raw. He was still with his am coach and didn't pick up till he went with Nelson. I'm not trying to compare the two as fighters just their situation. One bad performance against someone who's vastly more experienced and still hungry doesn't make you a bad fighter. Walsh should've stopped him though aye. There was nothing coming back to stop him pouring in.

Surprised corner didn't pull him, they were lucky Ryan was happy to. Coast. Jazza looks really good though.... He ain't beating Walsh though

Think the final will be a right good fight. Give the edge to Walsh though aye. Dickens is a bit too straight on whereas Walsh will be showing him angles etc... Dickens looks absolutely solid though

Didn't hear that but you can't win Commonwealth or British over 10 so they were talking crap. Between that and some of the judging, tonight has really left a bad taste in the mouth. I liked this concept before (the tourney) but i'm disgusted at that tonight....

At least he got the decision though mate. it was the right result in the end but just think about it - if that one judge didn't score one round 10-8 (which the other two didn't) then it would have been a draw!

Deserved win for Walsh, the knockdown crucial in turning the fight in his favour, McCullagh is elusive, never stays still and is always on his bike pot shotting, Walsh struggled to pin him down in the first 4/5 rounds but he was getting close before putting him down in the 6th, after that Walsh cam on strong and put the pressure on, fought lefty all night pretty much, McCullagh looked ragged and no surprise he was down again in the 9th, right hook doing the damage,, McCullagh desmt have the best output when it comes to aggression so he never looked like getting to Walsh, good win for Walsh against tricky unbeaten boxer, used his experience down the stretch

McCullagh style stinks the building out - pot shot 2 or 3 shots and Macklin is he’s 3 up already. Terrible to watch - when Walsh hit him in 6th he looked like I’ve never been hit like that before. He was stalking him at the end - unless he throws more punches or hits harder strong guys will walk right through him in future.

I gave him the first and the 5th could've went either way. Other than that i had the rest for Mimoune. Clear as well. Wasn't even close ffs Deffo one of the worst robberies i've seen in a long time...

Just watched the card on mute and thought McKenna won about 4 rounds, mostly early on. I thought he was moving and boxing well at the start. I was fairly certain Mimoune had won it at the end though.

Thought Jazza looked solid and relentless, with Wood lacking tenacity. Almost like it wasn’t going his way so he didn’t wanna be there. He rallied for a round or two later on.

Tactics from McCullagh a bit rubbish, impressive how Walsh switched for the whole fight, made it easier to close the distance against an opposing lefty.
