Redundent post that falsely claims anyone here said he is a killer on the inside.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 14:16 It's so convenient isn't it. Any round he loses, well he was just intelligently setting up his work for later! It's not like he was just getting outboxed. Too bad he spent a bit too much time utilizing his materful patience and fight reading vs FUry
Most of the time how he scored the KO is no different from what he was doing previously. It's just that if he throws enough times he finally lands a big one, because he has the speed to get it there eventually.
There seems to be this push after his last fight to depict him as some much improved boxer, even though he lost pretty much every round against a guy he already stopped and actually took longer to score a KD. That just baffles me. He is huge hitting, fast, has a great reach, etc....he is a raw talent beast, a freak in that regard, and that's enough for him to beat most or perhaps everyone else. I do not at all see this much improved or vastly underrated skills though. And when I see certain people talk about him as an inside killer too, I know they are just fanboi-ing for him as they usually do.
Why is Wilder's Boxing Ability so Underrated?

If you are referring to my own comments, I said Wilder could "uppercut him to death" if Fury tries to smother him on the inside, yes. Not "a killer on the inside;" or "beat dudes to DEATH on the inside" as you say.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 15:20The man will beat dudes to DEATH on the inside though, right![]()

He'd uppercut the man to death, there you have a killer my friend

I agree 100%!
PS: For the first time in years, I've been invited to several casual fan friend's homes to watch the fight. I never even inquired any of them. Didn't even know they knew the fighters. I'm wondering if the PPV's are going to actually be north on 500k. 750k?

He boxed quite well in the first Stiverne fight.
I personally think he is too in love with his own power to use what skills he has.
Always looking for the big knock out shot instead of using a decent jab to set it up.
A bunch of people on here give him zero credit for his skills but rewatch the Stiverne fight objectively.
He's not that bad

It is getting a lot more publicity than a lot of people thought, I have seen many people raise their estimate. Will be interesting to see how it does

That was his most skillful showing by far, I don't think his skills have advanced at all from that thoughtiny_acres wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 15:38 He boxed quite well in the first Stiverne fight.

But it did show he can box. Definitely not the next Mayweather but he does have decent abilitymargaret thatcher wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 15:45That was his most skillful showing by far, I don't think his skills have advanced at all from that thoughtiny_acres wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 15:38 He boxed quite well in the first Stiverne fight.

Re: Why is Wilder's Boxing Ability so Underrated?
No he absolutely couldn't. If he beats Fury on points the one and only reason is because the decision was bought and paid for. Either that or he knocked him down a lot, and Fury assed off and blew rounds.
Fury is the more skilled of the two by a pretty big margin. Wilder is probably one of the most limited guys skillset wise near the top of the division, but his power makes up for it.
He was losing wide to Artur Szpilka for f*cks sake prior to stopping him.

He boxed very well vs Stiverne, watching a guy box offensively from the outside like he did in taking apart Stiverne is far more impressive to me than Fury has ever done. The guy's a big oaf that just leans out of range and calls it masterclass. He sucks, Fury is for the faux-purists.

Yeah, a dumb thread.
Re: Why is Wilder's Boxing Ability so Underrated?
Tonight the whole internet is refreshingly clear of soliloquys to Wilder the Great.

So reading your post, what’s more impressive. Wilder outboxing a tomorrow can like stiverne or fury absolutely batter the great boxer as you put it in wilder?

Look at all the cockroaches coming out from under their rocks. I put my predictions out there, rest of you best stick to hindsight
