Fury will KO AJ too....

Post by SAPFO »

Just getting it in before anyone else. AJ won’t be able to deal with that pressure.

I'm predicting Fury by the stoppage there too. Fury will outjab Joshua outside. Fury will neutralize Joshua, when Joshua goes forward. Fury will maul Joshua inside. Joshua will be outclassed and battered as well. Joshua has no tools for The Gypsy King.

Unfortunately, it won't happen.

AJ will quack. He avoided Wilder. He'll avoid Fury.

Sure, it's a fight that will make a ridiculous huge amount of money but some fighters will duck regardless--just look at Khan and Brook quacking at each other.

It makes you wonder why anyone would turn down making serious amounts of money ?
Does people's legacies really matter to them that much , in 20 years time will anybody even remember khan or Brook ?
Don't make sense .

If it doesn't happen, would it be the worst case of fight avoidance between two British fighters in history?

Yeah, I find it baffling. Brook vs Khan was a fight that would have made them close to career high paydays and both quacked about it.

In the long run, what would it really have mattered if Brook lost to Khan or vice versa? Like you say, they're not exactly gonna be remembered anyway. And even in the there and now, a loss against another top fighter isn't something to be ashamed of.

I mean, Frampton and Quigg both manned up and faced each other. Quigg lost, but it wasn't a big deal and it's not like it ended his career.

Groves got KO'd by Froch, yet it didn't effect his career or legacy one bit. He lost against one of the best in the world, big deal.

I'm struggling to think of a worse one. Brook vs Khan was pretty bad, at their peak Khan was still a big deal and Brook--while not as big, was still pretty known.

I do.

It's happened before, big fighters avoiding each other despite the obvious huge payday. Joshua also has Hearn going against him. Hearn loves a cherry pick and protecting his champions with easy opponents.

Fury's next fight will be either Whyte or Usyk.

Time will tell I suppose.

I can see venues, money, TV deals etc. getting in the way but it doesn't seem to me like Hearn and Joshua don't want the fight. I also don't think Joshua is sacred of Fury.

Khan not fighting Floyd or Manny is ridiculous too.

Eddie has already piped up and said to forget the rematch, let’s get it on!!! Knowing full well that the rematch will happen.

Joshua is too big, strong and heavy to be pressured and bullied like Wilder was.

Wilder also just can't box like Joshua.

The only way he'd knock him out is if he exhausted and stopped him otherwise points would be the way to go.

He wouldn't be able to maul Joshua inside like he did with Wilder - tonights tactics were perfect against Wilder but against AJ - he would get on his bike and box nicely - which he is more than capable of doing - he can box and get in-and-out for 12 rounds on the backfoot.

Why would he need to get on his bike against Joshua?

I'd fight exactly the same.

Joshua on his back foot doesn't have much to offer. Certainly couldn't live with Fury in that situation.

If Fury was in the same physical and mental condition as tonight it would be a pretty similar fight and outcome to tonight.

Fury is a natural boxer. The other two are manufactured. That's the difference here. If the natural guy is in good shape he beats the manufactured guy 9 times out of 10

Fury's ability to adapt to different situations will beat Joshua, AJ fights one way, Fury on the other hand is unpredictable, he can go from hitting and moving to standing and trading, switch from righty to southpaw all during a fight, you can't really create a plan of attack against him.

He isn't going to outmuscle Joshua on the inside and throw him around like he did against Wilder.

He can if he wants I suppose but he is setting himself to get thudded down over the course of a fight - if he boxed long and on the backfoot - he would beat Joshua pretty convincigly - why give up his natural advantages? Steve Cunningham put Fury down properly - Joshua is capable of putting down Fury for more than a count of 10. It just takes one punch.

Joshua is a world class heavyweight with a knockout punch - Fury has the sense and the ringcraft not to take any unnecessary risks.

Joshua is a one dimensional manufactured boxer.

Who happens to be a big lump so yes he takes a bit of beating.

He'd be beaten in the build up for a start. His thin skin couldn't deal with Fury's mind games.

Joshua is way more skilled than Wilder. Fury would employ the same tactics he did against Wlad; he isn’t suddenly some indestructible wrecking ball. If he tries to engage with Joshua, he’s probably getting ko’d and he’ll know that.

All boxers are 'manufactured' - as in, they all get taught how to box.

Saying that, wasn't Joshua an ABA and Olympic champion? Whoever manufactured him did a fornicating good job! :yay:

Fury will have a gameplan to beat him - it won't involve trying to maul him from the inside from onset. That would be really stupid.

So you would think BB - but no - some of the sages on here think he is just going to go in and maul 260lbs, 6ft 6ins AJ on the inside from the first bell

I see Joshua is the saviour again now that Wilder has been beaten.

I think so too, AJ got a good beating from Ruiz and those defeats are hard to forget. Tyson would wear AJ down and stop him late on. I never thought I would say that as i was so far up Anthony Joshua I was hanging onto his tonsils, but Fury soems to love this kind of stuff and in the trenchers you have to favour Fury.

The saviour? I doubt the scenario has changed in most people’s minds - if Fury employs the same tactics against Joshua as he did against Wlad, he probably wins on points. If he tries to have a brawl, he’ll probably get knocked out. Hardly rocket science, is it.
