Fury is the best HW since Lewis
Already licked one Klit and would've humiliated Vitali
Re: Fury is the best HW since Lewis
One day Fury will become the best HW ever, but, yeah, right now Lennox is still edging.

Don't think he could handle Vitali, hard to say for a prime Wlad. Longevity is easier said than done. Could see an unmotivated Fury dropping the belts to anybody, but if he were to keep fighting and prove that statement wrong his accomplishments would be pretty special among heavyweights.

He has certainly eclipsed vitali by miles. Wlad is tighter and Josh is still there despite the humiliating loss to tubbs.

Re: Fury is the best HW since Lewis
Fury is right up there. To beat Wladimir at his own game in Germany...huge feat even if it was not very exciting. He out boxed the master class boxer.
Now he outpowers the most fearsome power puncher arguably in the history of boxing....in the USA on his turf. Though you couldn't tell that by the crowd. Haven't seen anything like that since Hatton. That place was rocking for Fury.
He captured all the belts without ever losing. He is definitely the man who beat the man and now is the man who beat everyone who had a claim to being the man. Anthony Joshua doesn't have a claim. Ruiz F'd him up much more convincingly than Joshua won. They really need a trilogy there. Joshua also got very lucky that Wlad didn't take him out when he had him ripe for the picking. Joshua is a very flawed fighter. He has nowhere near the skills of Fury and nowhere near the fortitude either. Tyson Fury is the king of this generation undisputedly already.
Going forward Fury should get another shot at Wilder. If he can beat down the massive power puncher again that will again add a lot to his legacy. If Joshua can get himself together better and prove himself more...a couple defenses and another win over Ruiz, then there can be another opportunity for a huge win there. I also think Ruiz has an opportunity to bounce back and be a potentially big legacy win for Fury. I want to see Ruiz vs Joshua 3 and I believe Andy Ruiz in better shape can take Joshua out again. Usyk is a wild card. I give him a good shot to outbox Joshua if they get together. Out of those 3..Ruiz Joshua and Usyk it would be great to see a unified HW championship fight. I consider all the titles to be Tyson Fury's but to hold them all at once after a unification victory would be huge. Not since Lennox has anybody held them all.
Big potential going forward. What an exciting time for HW's. Fury has the chance in front of him to be the GOAT. Speaking of GOAT....Charlie Zellenoff is already calling him out. I do hope that some kind of interaction happens between them. They are 2 of the most interesting characters in boxing. Get them together and something insanely entertaining will happen.

He's behind Wlad, but he's clearly the best today.

Fury needs to clean up the div before he can call himself the best ever. Some guys in the top thats need a good licking and Whyte should get his shot, but my gut tells me that he will be whoop'd good by Fury. So why bother? Other then filling his obligation for the WBC?

Ironic that you are posting this after trying to convince people that Fury landed a rabbit punch which secured him the win.

I'm surprised Fury hasn't started wearing those skirt shorts, he seems like a guy with the flair for that

Re: Fury is the best HW since Lewis
He did land a rabbit punch. What's to convince?
Re: Fury is the best HW since Lewis
There’s got to be a difference between a punch that is traditionally thrown - as in a punch that comes from distance and from in front of Wilder then a punch that is thrown whilst say holding or the main motion coming from behind.
I mean speaking from my experience, it’s no easy task landing a clean punch on a boxer period. If you thrown a normal punch and that person happens to move and it lands on the backside of their head I wouldn’t call it a rabbit punch. To me that’s just boxing.
Re: Fury is the best HW since Lewis
Calling it a rabbit punch, when a head bends down after an already thrown cross, is quite wacky.
It even landed somewhere behind the ear, if not exactly on it.

For sure, I didn't find it egregious but it clearly wasn't a legal blow. It's not tiddly winks, i don't mind some rough stuff. I thought that was fury's best strategy before the first fight. He kicked his ass.lazboy wrote: ↑23 Feb 2020, 23:22There’s got to be a difference between a punch that is traditionally thrown - as in a punch that comes from distance and from in front of Wilder then a punch that is thrown whilst say holding or the main motion coming from behind.
