What now for dillian whyte
Let's be honest, Hearn will fornicate him over if the AJ fight can be made, if not fury is still obliged to rematch wilder anyway. Is his career going to languish til he's old and past it ? I wonder if they will offer him a WBA regular title shot to try Make up for the fact he's forever second fiddle?
Re: What now for dillian whyte
The only body which are obliged to give Whyte a shot are the WBC but there could be the rematch and I doubt they would stand in the way of a unification either.Steveh583 wrote: ↑24 Feb 2020, 18:50 Let's be honest, Hearn will fornicate him over if the AJ fight can be made, if not fury is still obliged to rematch wilder anyway. While Joshua is waiting he has IBF and WBO mandatories to fulfil or risk being stripped.
In reality Whyte has the choice of waiting until next year for the WBC shot or keeping busy and risking getting beat.
It would hardly surprise me if the WBC don't come good with their shot if there are bigger fights out there.

Whyte must suck Hearns ...Wiener wurst... but still he become no chance, why?
Whyte will lose his next fight.....
Whyte will lose his next fight.....
Re: What now for dillian whyte
Rematch in the Wilder fight and probably a rematch in the Joshua fight. Whyte could be spending his prime not fighting for a world title.
Re: What now for dillian whyte
Dillian is bit past his best now, cant' see him winning against either Fury or Joshua.
Re: What now for dillian whyte
I suspect Whyte will get his Shot in Feb 2021.
I don't know how they could delay it any longer without paying the guy a lot of money.
Fury will face Wilder in what 6 months or so?
Joshua will face Pulev in June.
Now Joshua will likely have to face Usyk this year or get stripped. The WBO mandatory is already due...
And given Joshua always takes 6months at a minimum between fights that would mean we will get Undisputed Summer 2021

Povetkin in May. Hearn was on the wireless and said
Re: What now for dillian whyte
Wilder should take a rebuild fight or two to make the 3rd match more appealing. I can't see much point in Fury v Wilder 3 given the emphatic nature of the loss. Shame it's contracted
Fury should do what a real champion does and defend his title against a valid contender.....enter Dillian Whyte. That fight would sell like hot cakes in the UK and sets up things beautifully for a huge clash with AJ.

Re: What now for dillian whyte
I am going to call it right early.
Povetkin is going to beat White.
Povetkin hits harder than Parker, Rivas and Chisora and all KD'd and/or hurt White.
The best opponent (and probably the only "better" opponent - at this stage than Povetkin) that White has faced is Parker and Parker was winning until the headbutt that really affected his display after.
White was pretty poor last time and seems to be overlooking Povetkin and talking world title fight.

Re: What now for dillian whyte
Edited my post above on why I am going for Pov.... Yes though, he wasn't his usual self vs Hunter either - so he could just get old overnight. I think if Povetkin is the same Povetkin that lost to AJ - I'd be really confident of a POV win.
Re: What now for dillian whyte
Good chance of Pov winning. You should get a bet on.
Re: What now for dillian whyte
a very long wait punctuated by some non title fights ,, oh and a lot of whinging !
Re: What now for dillian whyte
Whyte should of went with Haymon when he was weighin up his options then he would of already fought Wilder i think. I dont think Wilder wants to do business with Hearn and i dont blame him,Hearn is a snake.

Re: What now for dillian whyte
I genuinely couldn't care less and am bored of Dillian Whyte. It's a poor indictment of the rest of the heavyweight division outside the top 3 that this fella is considered a contender. He is awful.
It still grates me that he has bang average fights and we are asked for PPV money to watch it (I dont) and his constant moaning about getting a title shot is a joke. You got offered the chance last year mate and priced yourself out. Get real.
Povetkin is an awful fight too and the only good thing about it is that one of the floaters of the heavyweight division will finally get flushed after one of them loses.

Re: What now for dillian whyte
I hope things turn out this way. With Wilder holding back from taking the rematch, freeing up Fury to take on a top WBC contender who is also an opponent of interest. Whyte has good victories over contenders and fringe guys and is always exciting in the significant matchups. Fury has been wobbled (Chisora 1, Firtha) and dropped (Cunningham, Pajcik, Wilder 1) and has dramas in lesser fights (Wallin). Whyte certainly has a puncher’s chance if nothing else (Joshua) but also has all those quality rounds (Rivas, Chisora 1, Parker, Chisora 2).THEBUTCH wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 10:06 Wilder should take a rebuild fight or two to make the 3rd match more appealing. But I have a feeling the next big fight will be “just” Joshua and that he won’t take a dangerous one before that. (Unless Wilder invokes his rematch clause).

I think Povitkin could beat Whyte, by KO. But if it doesn't happen in under 5 rounds, I would favour Whyte down the stretch. Father time says Povitkin is only dangerous for 4-5 rounds these days.
Re: What now for dillian whyte
I wouldn’t mind seeing Fury give Whyte his shot and fulfilling that mandatory thing. Fury obviously beats Whyte fairly comfortably but I think it would be a decent fight. Problem is, Fury’s next couple of fights have to be in America so how do you sell two Brits to an American audience? Unless it’s fury and Joshua at a pinch?Autobarn wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 16:01I hope things turn out this way. Re: What now for dillian whyte
A lesser tune up type of fight wouldn’t be surprising, sadly. Or someone WBC ranked, like Rivas, who’d have no chance of even making the fight interesting.chinarich wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 16:39I wouldn’t mind seeing Fury give Whyte his shot and fulfilling that mandatory thing. Maybe Wilder 3 ticks enough boxes for enough parties involved.
Re: What now for dillian whyte
Obviously if Wilder enacts the rematch clause then this discussion is moot. However, if he doesn’t then unless they can arrange a unification with AJ then it should be Whyte. He does deserve his shot at the belt...Autobarn wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 17:22A lesser tune up type of fight wouldn’t be surprising, sadly. Re: What now for dillian whyte
Definitely Fury v Whyte is a legit title defense.
Better than Fury-Chisora 3 which Tyson prefers (hopefully he changed his mind already).
Not sure any version of Fury could just toss a strong, nasty and heavy guy like Whyte around like a rag doll.
An easy sell as well which would have a live,y build up.
Obviously a lot of ifs, whether Wilder will use his rematch clause, whether Whyte is motivated and has the momentum to win what looks like another well matched, life and death struggle (Povetkin this time), whether Wilder would take step aside so Fury can fight Joshua and how Long Fury v Joshua will have to “marinate”.
Does appear that Wilder and what is left of his team refuse to accept responsibility for things that happened & that he’s delusional/determined enough to force the rematch.

Re: What now for dillian whyte
Regardless of if Fury has to box in the states next, selling Fury v Whyte in the USA (which would be a travesty if it took place there) would be 10 times easier than Fury against an unknown German knock over job or an unknown limited Swede.
Fury is either the number one attraction in boxing now or he's not ! Number one attractions don't have any problem selling regardless of who they are fighting right ?
Whilst I believe Pulev is a world class contender, many casuals probably won't have heard of him, but AJ will still sell tens of thousands of tickets again, if the fight takes place in the UK.
