I thought it was very lenient at the time.Black Sam Bellamy wrote: ↑06 Feb 2020, 14:19 In 1989, after a five-month trial in Brussels, 14 of the 26 Liverpool supporters who stood trial were found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and given a three-year prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and each ended up serving about a year in total in behind bars. The remaining ten defendants were acquitted of manslaughter.

A page on the website might shift the narrative, but it won't rewrite history. That's not justice.samwbr wrote: ↑06 Feb 2020, 15:34I thought it was very lenient at the time.Black Sam Bellamy wrote: ↑06 Feb 2020, 14:19 In 1989, after a five-month trial in Brussels, 14 of the 26 Liverpool supporters who stood trial were found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and given a three-year prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and each ended up serving about a year in total in behind bars. It's not meant to shift the narrative. It's about respecting the dead. It might be trite to some but it's the minimum they can do, the clubs weren't to blame.Black Sam Bellamy wrote: ↑06 Feb 2020, 15:47A page on the website might shift the narrative, but it won't rewrite history. They did transfer business very soon after and there is some who say it was an attempt to make amends.
Re: Umar IFL Umar

Re: Umar IFL Umar
Umar back on IFL, interviewing John who has done way worse than Umar in the past and all is forgiven with him.
Re: Umar IFL Umar
He won't be attending any Liverpool shows that's for sure. His 'apology' was laughable as well but at the end of the day he was a young boy when he said what he said. That being said, he comes across an arrogant little prick and i don't like him and i wouldn't mind his job

Re: Umar IFL Umar
There's an interview from a few weeks back with Bent Legs and Hearn and they're talking about it.
A: Why would Kugan be asking for Hearns opinion on an interview when Umar IFL Umar was under a suspension?
B: Hearn basically says that 'he's young we all make mistakes' blah blah but dropped Ohara Davies under the same circumstances more or less? Fuckin double standards.
It's all a fuckin clique and a wee gay boys club.

I don't see how anyone can root for such an unlikeable guy like Umar. Showing off his watch in pics like an absolute plonker.
