I’ve always quite liked him, off his napper, but quite a character sounds to me like he’s trying to convince himself he can do it as much as anyone else. Yeah he’s got crazy power, just can’t see him beating Fury now though.

I agree with you mate. He always seemed to me as if he was trying to convince himself lol... I really like the guy. He's a bit of a knob but who isn't ?

That's a message from Wilder to Wilder. I don't think he's coping very well and this is part of a downward spiral that could end up with a breakdown.

I don't think there will be another fight with Fury any time soon.

Because of Wilder's power it's just so easy to think it's as easy as him landing 1 punch, I bet if there are several months before a 3rd you will get plenty of people picking him again

That’s reading a lot into it. He just put a message out.

Meanwhile, Tyson has just gone home, done no media and took his kids for a treat to Home Bargains....

Now i'm sober after last night and have watched this again it just makes him look like a total wanker! Fury won the first fight when he wasn't 100% and destroyed him in the rematch! I don't want to see a rematch and spend precious time going over old ground! I'm a Fury fan and have been since he turned pro but always had a soft spot for Wilder on and off until his excuses after his defeat! He's made himself look a right idiot! I'd rather see him attempt a rebuild then get back in to title contention.... Looks like he's gonna go for the Fury rematch though... That could be either a masterstroke or a massive mistake!

It must be hard for him to accept he isn't unbeaten anymore - it must be hard for anyone to take that kind of beating whereas before - he was an unbeatable badass - I wouldn't know what that was like because I have never had an undefeated record in my life - even from the day I was born

So he is going to try and justify it to himself and anyone who will listen until the day comes when he learns to live with it, human nature I guess.

Disappointing.

Would like to have seen him be a bit more circumspect in defeat. Would have been better for him.

He's obviously too far gone believing his own hype.

2 fights and 19 rounds later, Deontay declares the war has just begun?

The man is clearly still concussed.

He isn’t concussed. He can say what he likes at the end of the day. His intentions are what matter. Please no rematch. Who wants to see a third fight compared to Fury vs Josh. It’s a no-brainer.

That is quite a repetive mantra that has no real substance.

It is obviously just something he is trying to drill into his own head to regain a bit of self belief.

Everyone handles defeat differently. AJ congratulated his opponent, accepted he needed to make changes and did so to great effect.

Wilder blamed everyone and everything else and is now claiming to still be king. If that is what he feels he needs to do then good luck to him.

I'm not sure it will bare any fruit in the long run, but who knows :maybe:

Wilder’s deluded - he won just two rounds out of 19 against Fury, including landing his best punches and he got beat. He’s delusional if he thinks he can improve on that.

To wilder's credit, he never gave up. And now he claims to be focussing on another rematch.
With the excuse of a heavy outfit rather than broken hand, or injuries sustained in camp, it is a very dubious one.
Still he whizzed a few right hands onto fury, you could see the power there, even though they glanced.
He's a very limited fighter Wilder, but if fury doesn't train properly for the 3rd, he'll have a chance. With that power, he always has a chance. And he earns what, 10 mil plus for another fight.
