I used to like Yafai, looked levels above domestic level when he won British and Commonwealth titles, schooled a very good world champ in Concepcion to win the title, blew away Carmona who is 1 of only 3 people to take Inoue the distance and Yafai also had a couple of dominant wins over fodder but I thought he lost to Israel Gonzalez 2 fights ago and I his last fight against Jiminez he toiled so form me it was clear to see he was regressing , whether it was age, weight making or too many sub par opposition who knows but either way it looked to me he'd missed any chance of winning those big fights

Mikey used to be one of my favourites to watch, really don’t like him fighting at these higher weights though.

Was really pleased Harris acquitted himself so well, thought he’d get taken out early if I’m honest but he stayed in the fight the whole way.

All in all, very enjoyable card and a lovely way to start a Sunday morning. Hopefully we get far more regular international shows again now.

Hearn’s best US card in my opinion. Real shame Murat Gassievs fight broke down as I’ve been looking forward to him getting in the mix for ages now.

Looking forward to seeing Chocolatito again but like I said about Mikey Garcia I thought he looked a touch fat at 115. I’d imagine the pay days are better at 115 tho and by god does he deserve them. As for Yafai being sent to slaughter, he’s the champ ffs, it’s been challengers who get sent to slaughter for sod all money, Yafai as champ will have early good dough last night whereas your Paul Smith’s and Jason Welborns will have got bigger all (relative to the champion they faced.) Over the years Kell Brook is the one who has earnt the best against a champ. $200k vs Shawn Porters $400k and I’m guessing Kell got the uk tv money on that as well.

Got to admit, while not being a great admirer of Yafai, I thought he would've won this. Gonzalez impressed me with what he's got left.

Really enjoyed watching Harris fight ,, , i think that kid really put his stamp on things , hope he does well and earns some good coin now .

I am biased though, he’s been one of my favs over the last decade or so.

Yafai’s tactics were odd. Rumble away inside with possibly the best inside fighter this generation. It really looked like vintage “chokka-leetoh” as Macklin said. Always a joy to watch.

Yafai tried his best, but his best wasn't good enough. If anything, I thought Yafai looked as good as he'd ever looked and actually raised his game. The difference being this time he was up against a true legend who ended up walking straight through him and the finish was just superb.

He does seem to be the guy on the outside. Looks huge for the weight, is a southpaw, built like a mini-Hagler. And, gave some average performances maybe at the wrong time. Just enough reason for these older masters from lower weights to look elsewhere.

Sor Rungvisai v Ancajas would surely be bruising and action packed,
