Source?
About 50-60 percent of Argentines supposedly have some Italian background, about 15 percent of Brazilians and maybe 2 percent of Chileans. I don't know about the 1 million Italians in Italy. Never heard that. Google "Italians in --------" and you can figure it out based on the total population

According to Wikipedia "Italian Immigration to Mexico" over 1 million Italians in Mexico.

Wikipedia : "Italians in Brazil" 31 million and 18 percent.

Wikipedia : "Italian Argentine" 60 % with some Italian blood. 25% full Italian blood.

* - sorry for the numbers being a little off but I was working off my head. My estimates for Chile was based on Argentina.
Tommy Paul was listed in the second post 6th row.

Luis Angel Firpo was supposedly Italian.

Eddie Shea...the one I knew worked in Monclair NJ after his career, and trained kids at the YMCA. He was a smaller man, but tough enough to bounce at the age of 60. lol I am hoping to find his record here, but this post is the only place I found his name. so thank you!
