AJ to make history
So much hype for the Fury wrestle fest but I didn't see a lot of high quality boxing on display from either fighter. Something was up with Wilder, and Fury just used his bulk to wear him down. Won't work with an 18 stone AJ.
AJ has absolutely everything and has obviously used the Ruiz 1 shock to cut out a lot of the stuff that was distracting him. He lives and breathes boxing. The Fury fan boys will make a lot of noise but it's Josh's destiny to be the new Lennox and that's what's going to happen this year or next.

I’m a huge AJ fan and I hope you’re right but that fight is no cakewalk that’s for sure .

Fury 9-5 over AJ—-oddschecker.
Re: AJ to make history
Fury will lick AJ to next year and dance with him like it was their wedding on fight night.
But, really not seeing AJ beating Fury when he is focused at all. TKO or Dec for Fury.
Would be a massive event and make sense moneywise for both. Also, all them ABC-trinkets will be in the pot.

AJ been defending his 4 belts. Lewis never. AJ never one punched to Bolivia. Lewis twice. AJ gives back to the British boxing community. Lewis seldom.
AJ already made his fortune. Lewis needed a shot Tyson. AJ not done yet. Lewis in the sunset.
Your welcome!
Re: AJ to make history
AJ is better off staying far away from Fury. I still think Wilder would K.O. Joshua.
Re: AJ to make history
Both Wilder and Joshua will have confidence issues the next time they're faced with a big puncher.
I suspect they'd both be a lot more gunshy if they were to fight each other now than they would've been if they were coming in unbeaten.
Re: AJ to make history
Yeah, Joshua will forever be in history as the fighter, who would have shared the ring with Fury on the day, when The Gypsy King would have become an undisputed heavyweight champion.

Re: AJ to make history
AJ's far too linear in his movement. He's a better boxer than Wilder though but I just think Fury will come at him from too many angles.
I think the fight will happen though, which is great.

Re: AJ to make history
AJ will get stripped of something first. So then Fury will have to beat some other guy for a belt...or we could all just accept he's the Champion right now already. Because he is.

Re: AJ to make history
Fury boxed a masterclass - he just realised that his best strategy to beat Wilder was to be aggressive and keep him on the back foot. It might not look as pretty but still requires a certain skill set, just like hitting and moving from the outside. The AJ fight would likely be different, bit Fury simply has a bigger toolbox and more ways to win. Aside from punching power and looking pretty, it's hard to find anything AJ does better than Fury.RichieKnightmare wrote: ↑24 Feb 2020, 09:32 So much hype for the Fury wrestle fest but I didn't see a lot of high quality boxing on display from either fighter. Live & breathes? You ask him & Fury who the current junior ABA champions are. Fury was born to box. AJ chose too.
Re: AJ to make history
Can’t see what defending belts mean, it’s opposition that matters, Lewis beat Morrison, Mercer and Ruddock with no world titles on the line. Lewis came back stronger after each defeat, we’ve yet to see if AJs passive showing in the Ruiz rematch is gonna be a permanent thing or not. Giving back to the boxing community and the amount of money they made has little to do with comparing them as fighters.BroughtonRulesRefuge wrote: ↑24 Feb 2020, 09:56- Sorry to see you ain't been paying attention.RichieKnightmare wrote: ↑24 Feb 2020, 09:32 So much hype for the Fury wrestle fest but I didn't see a lot of high quality boxing on display from either fighter. Re: AJ to make history
I think Fury beats AJ. To me AJ still hasn’t proved he can take a punch after Ruiz 1 fight.
Re: AJ to make history
I see you are a fan of AJ. More fact and less emotion would make a better post. Thanks!RichieKnightmare wrote: ↑24 Feb 2020, 09:32 So much hype for the Fury wrestle fest but I didn't see a lot of high quality boxing on display from either fighter. Whenever I think somebody's talking bollocks I just look at their weight now and if they're a minimumweight I immediately know they're either a newbie to the sport, an alt, somebody who has been banned for being an idiot before, a troll or a shill for a certain boxer or promotion.RichieKnightmare wrote: ↑24 Feb 2020, 09:32 So much hype for the Fury wrestle fest but I didn't see a lot of high quality boxing on display from either fighter. Either way, well done for finally watching the fight.
Re: AJ to make history
Richie tries to make a good case.
At the moment though, fury is bigger, we know he can box much smoother, with more variety & tricks, and now we can see that he can turn puncher and mauler if he needs to.
Aj is a beast. He has decent speed, and very good power, text book technique, and is a little stiff at times. And is very big & strong.
---
Fury sits as a clear favourite now in my eyes.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the preliminary fights.
One would assume that aj will blast out pulev & look impressive.
Pulev does have a good jab, a little toughness & power, so may be able to test Joshua's punch resistance & any lingering insecurities from the Ruiz ko.
Fury sits as a big favourite going into a Wilder rematch. It's hard to see how such a beat down could be reversed. But with wilder's power, there is no room for error, so anything could happen whilst Wilder still has his legs under him.

Re: AJ to make history
But Gil, neither Fury or Ruiz are big punchers

..they are all vulnerable, it's the question of whose vulnerability will be exploited first..
