rumour is that Beyer and Kessler will fight in october. a couple of roadblocks. Andrade and Mundine will have to step aside. Maybe one of them will fight Calzaghe and the other will get paid off. Sauersausage and Palle are confident the mandatories can be persuaded to let this fight happen

Title is abit inappropriate, but yeh Kessler and Beyer are now doing their part. Kessler will win which should leave us with a totally undisputed unification superfight with all 4 major title belts.

Calzaghe batters both anyway.

Kessler's a superb boxer. If MK manages to have the WBA and WBC titles, that pushes Calzaghe into a corner. I mean how would Calzaghe - with his WBO and IBF titles - says that he's beyond doubt the man to beat in the division. obviously 18 title defenses. but if kessler can get beyer, nobody can ignore the matchup.

It is the right fight to setup the Calzaghe Kessler fight. Which is the one i think most people want to see.

Kessler vs. Beyer => Kessler TKO 8

The one against Calzaghe is more open and with Calzaghe a slight favorite.

Calzaghes speed would be too much for Kessler? Highly doubtful, Mundine is faster and slicker than Calzaghe is and Kessler handled him quite well.

I would favour Calzaghe to win though

I actually think Kesller will beat Beyer quicker than that. Once he starts ramming that jab in his face continually see how quickly Beyer's old mental frailties return. Kessler in 4-5 rounds.

apparently, if it goes ahead, Kessler-Beyer will be in Denmark. Is Beyer cashing in his career. Hopefully Andrade and Mundine don't throw in a spanner in the works & insist on their mandatory. We need big, important fights like this.

Local romours say that Beyer will get €1,25mill + german TV rights for the fight.
The frontrunner venue for the fight is Parken Stadium in Copenhagen (allthough its a crappy boxing, and music, venue).

There should be any problem with Mundine stepping aside (mandatory not due yet) so the only problem is Andrade.

I think Mundine will happily step aside, as it will allow him to fight for the WBA ‘Regular’ World Title. Mundine’s manager Khoder Nasser has just left to go overseas, likely in regards to this situation.

Has Calzaghe ever used his knuckles when throwing what he describes as a punch? He should put his hand wraps on back to front.

I could picture Beyer laying down the WBC belt for this fight.

If he beats Kessler he'll be considered joint #1 at 168 with Calzaghe anyway. If he loses he has lost the belt this way or that way.

He's old enough and has been title holder for long enough that he doesn't need to focus that much on belts any more.

Of course he has.

I know he tends to cuff his hands but he still punches properly as well.

I read your post and he seriously does dominate good fighters except prime Reid since he was very talented too until he let himself go.

Heard Warren offered beyer 1,318,587.07 euros to fight calzaghe on july 8th even Joe couldn't do the date why turn that down to fight Kessler for a little less if it's true?
