Find and join your nearest amateur boxing gym, if it’s something you really want to do then turn up to every available session, listen, learn, work hard, don’t get disheartened by sparring or training sessions that you struggle with it’s a learning curve and you have to learn to take the rough with the smooth, do your runs, eat well, get plenty of rest/sleep and stay off the booze/drugs, once you start boxing as an amateur take every match you can and don’t worry if you lose fights, it’s all experience, I’d say 3 years amateur will give you good grounding and you’ll know after that time if you really want to go pro, good luckdarryj3 wrote: ↑19 Feb 2020, 23:09 I have been interested in boxing since I was 14/15, I started training back then but nothing serious.
Since that time I’ve started working, moved cities, been unemployed (many times), been homeless, been isolated, moved residences various times, started my own business, developed a gambling problem, while suffering from depression along the way.
I have an emotional connection with boxing somehow, don’t ask me to explain.
I have been to a few different gyms since I was young (now 23), I have done some MMA, Muay Thai and freestyle wrestling training (never competed), but I always come back to boxing.
I’m serious this time I really want to start boxing for real, I need advice for training, diet and anything that anybody could possibly share.
My cardio isn’t great (not yet) but I am willing to work.

You need to join a gym before you start on anything else fam. Make it your 2nd home. That has to be your 1st step. You will find a trainer & he will advise you on everything you need in regard to exercise, diet etc
