Two of the judges score cards were 2-2 going into the 5th round of the Adesenya v Romero fight. Personally I don’t see any good argument for Adesenya winning the 5th, he literally ran away from the fight. I’m not going to rewatch it to make sure I’m remembering right, that’s unfair self-torture but did Israel get the win because Yoel didn’t deserve to win the title with that performance or did he legitimately win the 5th enough?

For whatever it is worth Yoel landed more shots in the 5th as well.

The defending of Adesenya online is shitting me to tears though, while Yoel barely engaged he didn’t run back. The guy literally stood there flat footed and Adesenya refused to engage him. There seems to be an expectation that because Adesenya is a counter puncher everyone should have to lead against him. I just feel in a fight where neither guy did fornicate all Adesenya somehow managed to do less and run away from the fight when it was there. Even in his post fight interview he said that he came forward once and got cracked so he didn’t want to do that again.

Yup, Adesanya literally just got on his bike, it was his worst round. There's no way he won the 5th, none. What you described i like a caricature of a Mayweather fight. He seemed to be scored every second of a round where he made sure there was nothing happening. Judges give non-action to "the" guy. Also, the Octagon is way too big.

It just seems like this fight is doomed. I can't remember a fight postponed and delayed so many times.

There never has been a fight cancelled more times than this one.

Before this the most frustrating of my life was holy/Tyson but I think Mike only pulled out once, ducked him a bit(king), lost to buster and went to jail.

What are the chances of Khabib-Tony actually going ahead.

Pretty much every sport here is shut down. The UFC is going on tomorrow and they are having a few at their performance center. This is at least 10 million at the gate.

Yeh, a gate is very important. It’ll do well on PPV regardless anyway.

Even the WWE are taping Smackdown from their Performance Center tonight.

Being the only sport in operation has to be worth the shot of getting new fans.

They had 3 returns last night. John Cena, Paige and Jeff Hardy who was returning after a long lay-off. He was robbed of a huge pop from the crowd.

They've just announced next weeks Raw will be from the Performance center now too. Stone Cold is due to appear.

Raw is the longest running weekly episodic programme, running every single week on TV since 93'. WWE don't want to interupt that i'm guessing.

UFC's matchmaking is good enough. As long as the good even fights keep getting made.

Only sport going, just saying that matchmaking could bring in a lot of new viewers during this

Yeh, cus there is literally nothing else to watch.

Football in the UK has been postponed until April 4, weekends in the UK is mostly just about Football and watching Soccer Saturday finding out who's scored and who won.

Gonna be boring for lots of people.

MMA can potentially draw in a ton of new fans as the only game in town. If I were the UFC I would schedule the most competitive matches they can for the next 2 months....and please don't cancel Ferguson-Khabib.

Kevin Lee looked abysmal yesterday. Think he has fought his last main event.

The empty arena seemed a small price to pay to watch the fights in peace, without fucktards wooooooo'ing all through the event :OhYes:

Lee will go on to be an also-ran at WW, similar to RDA.

Well i got to admit, i thought RDA tuned him up enough to more or less cut off that avenue at WW. There are some monsters in that division, even outside the top 5. Big question where he goes from here, given his shortcomings at LW. But people in the industry, far more informed, than me swear by his talent. That is hard to ignore. Either way, i think WW for him is a hard ask.
