Incorrect Fight Results for Marco Magdaleno vs. Luis Silva

This was a 2nd round TKO or KO. Referee Eddie Hernandez waved it off after one big punch landed at 1:29 of round 2. No idea how it's listed at 3.

I can provide video somehow or other if you don't believe me. It was broadcast on RingTV.

PS- it should definitely be a TKO rather than KO, since the ref jumped in to stop it before he actually fell.

A TKO is just a form of KO, California often rules KO to stop fighters taking more punishment.

Gotcha. California is weird in a lot of ways. I've heard ring announcers give seemingly wrong KO vs. TKO calls fairly often, and now that I know that, I'm guessing most of them were in CA. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in most places, KO would only be when the count reaches 10 or when the referee dispenses with the count on a knockdown for safety reasons.

There is no universal definition of a KO, but generally it meant a stoppage from a knockdown where the referee reached the count of ten. (However The Board of Control report these as COs ie Count Outs.) Note many/most/all ? referees these days will not actually say 10 but instead say 8, 9 and out or wave it off at the point of saying 10.
Most commissions report a stoppage where the fighter is down and a count unnecessary as a KO, some as TKO, some as RSF (Referee Stopped Fight).

Luis Rodriguez retired after round 4, not round 3.

Unless it's already on Youtube, it might be harder to get you a video on this one, as I actually have this one on a blu-ray.

Can't find any online videos of it....here's a contemporaneous report with a post-fight interview which mentions the 4th round results.

If you absolutely need a video, I'll see if I can yank it off my blu-ray or at least record it with my phone pointed at my TV.
