Re: Unlucky fighters...
Martin Murray has been unlucky imo. On the wrong end of debatable decisions against Sturm and then Martinez (in particular) that cost him world titles and then he ran up against a peak GGG.
Re: Unlucky fighters...
Murray definitely isn't unlucky., he's had a ridiculous number of opportunities compared to many other fighters of a similar calibre or better. Much like Howard Eastman, just never showed the ability to step it up when it really mattered.dr_devious wrote: ↑01 Apr 2020, 05:50 Martin Murray has been unlucky imo. Sturm wasn't a debatable decision.dr_devious wrote: ↑01 Apr 2020, 05:50 Martin Murray has been unlucky imo. On the wrong end of debatable decisions against Sturm and then Martinez (in particular) that cost him world titles and then he ran up against a peak GGG.

Re: Unlucky fighters...
I watched both fights and I had Murray ahead in both at the end
Re: Unlucky fighters...
Murray was lucky to get the draw as Sturm was with Universum not long before that fight, whose fighter won if they survived to the final bell.
Re: Unlucky fighters...
No, I completely forgot about Daws' actual last crack at the European title
That was a fair decision.
I meant Lenny's loss to the Spanish guy. Extremely harsh call from the ref ruling a headbut and disqualifying him.
