I just can’t see this fight getting made again now. I thought their first fight was a draw and really could have gone anyway. It probably showed up some of Warrington’s limitations in fighting an awkward spoiler but it also absolutely wrecked any notion of Galahad being an attraction. In all likelihood the rematch would be just as bad, or if better hardly an attraction. Hearn will drop Galahad like a cold turd here and manoeuvre him away from Warrington

Barry is mandatory. He gets his shot whether Warrington swerves it or not.

True, but I don’t think anyone is saying otherwise? What I don’t see happening is Warrington showing much interest in fighting him again, or indeed many punters being interested in buying tickets for it

Unification will probably get 1st preference over Mandatory - so he’ll probably need to wait if they make unification bout.

He’ll end up on undercard or with few quid to step aside and get winner.

Ryder gets pushed by Eddie through the family link.
You think Marrero beats Galahad or Warrington bottles it?
I think he’ll box Stevenson.
Stevenson wanted to fight in Leeds but says he heard nothing from Hearn:

He also thought Galahad beat Warrington.

One judge wasn't swayed by the crowd and gave it to Galahad by two rounds.
Hardly anyone else did? Maybe not in Leeds but there was a poll on another boxing forum and the majority did.
Here's the national press using the words "robbery" and "robbed":

So why won't Warrington fight him again Mickey?

It's easy for him to say that. On the flip side hearn said he was talking to all the champions. So who should we believe. it's not like warrington is having a voluntary defence his agreed to a unification next.

Yeh, Obviously, he's gonna think his rival lost his last fight. It's normal.

Instead of talking him down, why not talk Warrington up? Would make Stevenson's (win) over Warrington better wouldn't it?

If he said, "Warrington clearly beat Galahad in their fight."

Why not make a statement and defend against kid if he truly believed kid beat josh. A wide points or stoppage win wud b a massive statement to the rest of the division.

Hearn also says he's talking to Wilder and Fury for AJ so I believe Stevenson.

Santa Cruz is the WBA champ.

Warrington said that Galahad was his last fight in Leeds and he was off to Vegas with some of his mates who were "right nutters". His promoter said he turned down chances to fight Santa Cruz and Russell Jnr in the States. Instead he chose to box World no.126 Sofiane Takoucht in Leeds.

Warrington has turned down Santa Cruz and Russell jnr in the States. The other champion is Stevenson who says he hasn't been approached. If Warrington wants to unify he has to fight a champion.
Can Xu is a "Regular" champion. In 20 fights he has had 3 knockout wins in China. He has had 2 losses.
Fighting him in Leeds is an easier option than the 3 champions.

Josh doing it all, proving the naysayers wrong all the way along, now on the route to become unified champ if boxing ever returns. Loads and loads of fans too, it's good to be Josh Warrington, even if you'll never get any love from Dom's head shiners :yay:

And I know there's a dude on here fond of bringing up BoxRec rankings in Warrington threads- well look who is #1 at 126

Nobody? The IBF do for a start. Maybe people in West Yorkshire don't want their boy getting exposed again.
They were literally giving tickets away for Warrington's last fight but he he's happier fighting Takoucht than Galahad.

I don't want to see the fight again, but that get's said a lot when the first fight is boring. Who knows, one of them might start on 5th gear in the next fight. Every fight can be different.

Nobody wants to see it because Galahad was horrendous to watch. Galahad had his chance and made us sit though an absolute stinker of a fight. I don't think he will ever recover from that in the UK. It was a dismal dismal fight. We know Warrington has been involved in exciting fights so the blame purely goes on Galahads shoulders. He's had his chance and should have done more than try to stink Leeds out. Warrington has been in a few fights where very few have given him a chance and he's done the business. The time for doubting his bollocks is long gone.

The IBF have mandated it.
Johnny Nelson overcame title challenges against De Leon and Warring, retired undefeated world champ for 6 and a half years and walked into a lucrative job with Sky.
Galahad gets the blame for Warrington not landing a punch all night.
He'd rather fight Takoucht than Galahad.

Warrington v Galahad and Warrington v Takoucht.

Which had the bigger attendance? Bigger TV audience? Most press coverage?
